NFL WEEK 10 NFL News
For years, Tom Brady has been probable with a "shoulder" problem on the injury report.
That habit stopped for a while, but started up again during this season. Now it appears Brady has another actual injury. Brady sat out practice on Wednesday with a foot problem in addition to his right shoulder injury. It's hard to tell how serious the foot injury is. Brady met with the media on Wednesday that's usually a clear sign a player isn't that hurt. Brian Hoyer replaced Brady with 2:34 left against the Browns Sunday, but the score was 34-14. It seemed like it was just a way to get Hoyer some time during mop up time. Considering that Brady was loath to miss a single practice in training camp, the new foot/shoulder injury certainly looks more worrisome for Patriots fans than the old shoulder/probable routine was. .................................................. ........... Linebacker Shawne Merriman has practiced for the first time with the Buffalo Bills. And he's already injured. Per the Associated Press, Merriman exited practice after injuring his lower right leg during individual drills. He limped off the field, had his ankle checked by a trainer, and then left practice. Merriman was claimed on waivers last week by the Bills after being released from the Chargers' injured reserve list. He had passed a physical several weeks after suffering a calf injury. ................................................ Panthers coach John Fox announced that Jimmy Clausen will be the guy this week in Tampa Bay. PFT .................................................. ........... "I'm going to give y'all maybe two, not more than three questions, but I just want to start off and let my family know, my momma, my brother, my sister your baby brother, your baby boy is good," Moss said via Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean. "I've been through a lot in the last couple of weeks. Like I said, I've got these broad shoulders; I can carry a lot of weight." Moss said that he won't turn the Titans into a Super Bowl team on his own, and that he's just focused on one day at a time and learning the plays. Here's our favorite exchange of the session: Reporter: What can the Titans expect from you on a snap-to-snap basis? Moss: What do you expect from me effort wise? Reporter: Well other people . . . Moss: I didn't say other people, what do you expect from me effort wise? Reporter: I don't know what to expect. Moss: I don't know what to expect neither, next question. Moss is predictably unpredictable, even to himself. He continues to say that the NFL is a business. Surely he's a smart enough businessman to know he needs to make this chance work or his free agency value will sink this offseason. "I didn't want to go to Minnesota and mess anything up. I guess everybody blamed me for it," Moss said. "I'm going to say it again; I'm not coming here to start no trouble." .................................................. ................ The Steelers have placed left tackle Max Starks on the injured reserve list, ending his season, and activated rookie tackle Chris Scott from the physically unable to perform list to replace him. .................................................. ........................ According to the Chicago Sun-Times' Brad Biggs, the Bears expect Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice (hip) to be active this weekend. .................................................. .......................... feel free to add info, news and discuss ........

2010 Power Rankings: Week 10 espn RK (LW) TEAM REC COMMENT
1 (2) Ravens 6-2 Channing Crowder's least favorite team has won five of its past six. (Walker) 2 (3) Steelers 6-2 The Steelers are 3-1 with QB Ben Roethlisberger. (Walker) 3 (6) Falcons 6-2 The Falcons have held six of their past 10 opponents to 278 yards or fewer, including Tampa Bay in Week 9. (Sando) 4 (7) Giants 6-2 The Giants seem downright dominating, and they're improving week to week. (Clayton) 5 (4) Jets 6-2 This is a stunner: Getting to the QB is becoming a problem for the Jets' defense. (Clayton) 6 (1) Patriots 6-2 It's hard to believe a Bill Belichick team is ranked 32nd in third-down defense. (Clayton) 7 (8) Packers 6-3 The defense has allowed only seven points in the past two games. (Walker) 8 (12) Eagles 5-3 Michael Vick is willing to take as many hits as necessary if it means winning. (Clayton) 9 (10) Saints 6-3 The Saints won big, but they've struggled badly on third down in two of their past three games. (Sando) 10 (5) Colts 5-3 The limited Bengals are just the right sort of team to pop up on the Colts' schedule now. (Kuharsky)

![]() Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer was held out of practice Wednesday with a sore passing shoulder, but is expected to be ready for a game against the Indianapolis Colts. Receiver Chad Ochocinco also missed practice Wednesday, but Lewis says he'll play Sunday in Indianapolis as well
