New York Giants -7 vs. Jacksonville

Despite the both teams 6-4 record, these teams are far from similar. Everyone knows, the last two weeks in a row, the Jags have made plays in the final 30 seconds to pull out victories. They pulled off a Hail Mary against Houston, no surprise, Houston is tied for league worst 6.2 ypp on defense, tied with… you guessed it Jacksonville. Last week, they had the screen play to Maurice Jones-Drew hit for 75 yards with less 1:30 left on the clock, against Cleveland’s 18th ranked yards per play defense. This week Jacksonville plays the 4th ranked yards per play defense (4.9) and their 20th ranked offense will not be able to pull off a third straight week of last second heroics. Jacksonville is giving up 31 ppg on the road this season, while their 6 victories have come against teams with a combined win percentage of 35%, the only team with a winning record they beat was Indy (6-4). The Giants return home to on the heels of 2 consecutive losses, looking to right the ship. Eli has struggled in his last 2 games with 6 turnovers including 5 INT’s. The Giants are a well balanced team, ranking 7th in passing yards and 5th in rushing yards, combining for 5.8 ypp (3rd in NFL). The Giants will get back on track with Bradshaw exposing a below average Jacksonville rush D, taking pressure off of Manning, allowing him to exploit the Jags 28th ranked passing D. A good spot for a double digit victory at home.
