Exclamation NO vs SEA Write-up

New Orleans -10 @ Seattle

Seattle enters the playoffs with the worst record for a playoff team in NFL history. Couple that with their weak division and a QB in Hasselbeck who completed less than 60% of his passes with a 12:17 TD:INT ratio and it spells trouble in the Hawk’s nest. New Orleans isn’t as strong as they were last year, with Ivory and Thomas out of the backfield due to injury, they lost nearly 1,000 yards rushing. The Saint’s offense finished the year T-7th in yards per play offense at 5.6 ypp, Seattle’s offense finished T-28th at 4.9 ypp. Seattle has one of the most significant home field advantage’s in the NFL, but the saints travel well scoring 6 more points per game on the road than at home and having their offensive yards per play go from 5.4 at home to 5.8 on the road!!! Of Seattle’s 9 losses, they didn’t keep a single game within 10 points, with their losses coming by an average score of 34-13!!!!!!!! Seattle’s wins came against only 2 teams with records above .500 and only 1 win against a playoff team (Chicago), 5 of their 7 wins came against STL (7-9), SF (6-10), ARZ (5-11) twice, and CAR (2-14). Seattle will need more than the 16 points they had to beat STL and get into the playoffs and they will not be able to develop enough balance on offense to produce points as they failed to reach 100 yds rushing in 10 games this season and averaged only 89 ypg on the ground (31st). New Orleans will come to play and should not have much trouble scoring points as they have hit the 30 point mark in 5 of their final 8 games. I’ll lay the wood, New Orleans, anything short of a 3 TD victory and I’d be surprised.
