I like pre-season football... Some people dont like it but for me i like to use this time to stack a little change for the regular season...

Lets open this season for football


dallas vs raiders

raider nation... The black hole... Well its that time of year again where it will be halloween in oakland in the middle of summer..... The pre-season opens for both teams....

There is much hope for raider fans year after year and this season is no different.... Yet the difference from past years is we all know they sucked ( pops i hope your not reading this ) ... This year there is hope, more experience, and hopefully something better to maybe go catch a game ..... Unfortunately this season has already started off on a bad note.... First we have the signing of heyward bey instead of michael crabtree ~~ this will be talked about for much of this season.... We have a qb issue as newly brought in jeff garcia will push j-russell to his limits ~~~ which really isnt much... And a new defensive coordinator installing a new scheme..... All this points to me as chaos heading into the season ....

The raiders defensively are stable in their secondary as they are worked with the great willie brown.... Their linebacking crew is solid once again but with the news that kirk morrison might be splitting time in john marshalls defensive schemes has me a cause for concern... With derrick burgess leaving, the raiders pass rush needs to be dealt with , which is why i think they brought in john marshall from seattle to bring more heat with the linebackers to create pressure to help close some holes by oppositions running game......

Offensively the qb race will be heating up to what al decides which is working the best.... Al knows that j-russell is garbage but knows he has the arm strength to throw the ball down field ... Which in case was supported by the signing of the blazing heyward-bey.... But he also knows that jeff garcia is capable of running a short offense in the same manner that rich gannon did during the chuckie days.... The running backs if all can stay healthy will be miricle as justin fargas is tendered already..... The receiving core is still inexperienced with no go to guy .... Not to mention the offensive line is experiencing shambles.....

So my take on this game is this ..... Both the raiders qb's have been pressing all week in practice missing recievers, basically looking like pre season form... But with everything involved surrounding this club, i dont think they are mentally prepared as a group yet for football... The player to watch tonight is michael bush as i think he will be the focal point to this game..... Both dallas and the raiders have excellent cover corners and secondary so im not expecting much from the passing game in the 1st half..... But in the second half i expect dallas to penetrate into the backfield against oaklands 2nd and 3rd string lineman creating havoc as oakland reciever core is thin in talent..... The raiders will hold its on against the cowboys 2nd and 3rd team offense .....so its going to come down to a bad special teams play or a turnover late but i think it wont matter much as this game will play under the total of 34.5 ....
