Manning's silence is golden for owners, not players

The most advertised and self-promoting NFL player maybe in history is suddenly camera shy.....

The owners. The players make too much as it is. They are simply not worth the money they are getting now, much less any more.

I dont want someone else to have a better job then me or have anything better so I am siding with the owners. Plus I can really relate to the owners and have a ton of sympathy for them and thier struggles theyve had being the #1 sport in north america.

Got my dan snyder jersey on now at my laptop, his memorabilia is my favorite to collect!

Old school... If your getting paid well to do your job (aka NFL players)... And you sign a contract for said service.. And your check clears every payday then well you have no real right or issue to have the boss open up the books to you.. Does Bill Gates ?... Most of his workforce is a select few that only can do their jobs at that level ala the NFL.. Lets not kid ourselves 70 % of the NFL jobs could be done by players that just missed and the product would be good... Its the 30 % the superstars that could not be replaced and they are well paid.. Generational money.. Their kids kids will not have to sweat it.. IMO no games at all will be missed too much money on the table this time around..

In are country where people are trying just to pay there bills and the avg players avg 2.2million a year i can not take there side. They made a choice to play football, hell a family with dad and mom and a couple kids might have to live on 50 to 60k a year. So the avg nfl player makes 40 years of wages in one season than avg working man. sorry players not this time around

did the owners get forced into owning an NFL franchise?

why arent you comparing the 50k a year to what the owners make? pretty obv people that feel this way are used to seeing white guys in suits make huge money. Must be hard to come to grips with if your wired to want to take away from people that may have more then you.

I am pro working man not big buisness, but in this case the players made the choice in life so they have to live with it, to the tune of couple million a year give me a break. I am in the private sector and invest my money. Can you say the same.
