Seem like the lesser value teams were doing this so it is time for the big dogs to step up.

** Eagles release Jevon Kearse after 3 of 4 injury plauged years. Kearse was in the middle of a $66 million, eight-year deal signed in 2004 that made him at the time the highest-paid defensive end in NFL history. He shouldn't be missed much since we have basically played the last three seasons without him.....

** Every team has there drug thug...Defensive tackle Mike Patterson was arrested on February 16 and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. Well what else is there to do at 6am in south jersey while sitting in a parked car with your brother than to smoke a little kinbud... come-on

** Eagles used the franchise tag on LJ Smith... Why?

** Cornerback Asante Samuel is visting the Eagles today. A bit pricey for the budget crazy eagles imo. Word on the street is they might seek out a lower budget db in Giants safety Gibril Wilson.

** Eagles signed S. JR Reed to a one year contract yesterday

Little bit of rumors swirling at this hour, but word on the street is that Philadelphia already has a deal in place with Samuel which will give them the luxury of trading Lito Sheppard and a high draft pick to the Cardinals for Larry Fitzgerald..

lol the eagles will always suck and no one wants to play there. fitzgerald will be in dallas very soon.

Asante Samuel signed 6 years 57 mil. Over paid for an above average corner. Looked good because the Pats got pressure on the QB. I love when the Eagles make stupid moves.

They need a QB, Wr's, TE and LB's.

Been out of the country allweek and just found out about Samuel. Not the best signing in the world. He is a little better than Sheppard who is out and will most likely be dealt draft day. Clemons from Oakland Is in on Sat. Would not be a bad pick as they need a .DE. Still need a WR and TE

I think this is their "splash" signing and it was a to an overpaid player. Pats made him look good. Eagles need much more help than this.

cant argue with u. Samuel can not play press coverage and Sheppard was very good at it. Hopefully not the big splash but u maybe right

Definetly over paid for samuels. But Philly has a solid secondary with him and Brown at corners and dawkins (probably will be his last decent year) at saftey. Should get something positive by trading Sheppard!! (Even though i will miss the lito shuffle

Agree with ya walk... Samuel looked great in the Pats system. With all the blitzing the Eagles do it will be a challange when he is left to fend for himself out in man to man coverage. We will see, Eagles ponied up with Runyan a few years ago and even though he has never been a superstar he has always been a solid performer.

We still need a receiver here in Philly. Samuel is the only patriot I somewhat like so I'm not against this because if we did somehow get Larry Fitz out of Sheppard in a way, I would be very happy. Then again, it depends what week McNabb goes down this year haha

They still could keep Lito and move Brown to Safety which was the plan at 1 time, but supposedly Lito has been a piece of shit in the locker room. There were rumblings that he milked his injuries because he was not happy with his contract and if that is the case see ya. It is amazing how the REales dont value a WR but they feel the need to get a shutdown corner to stop everyone elses WRs. Sure would be nice to have WR where the oppsition would have to game plan for

Heard The Eagles May Have Interest In Looking At Randy Moss. Also There Is Talk Of A Trade Of Lito Sheppard To The Pats Along With The 19th Pick Of Philly To Get Up To The Pats 7th Pick,. Dont Know About That One As It Doesnt Seem Like Enough To Me.
