Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers - betting info
At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Philadelphia Eagles (2.36, +136) and Pittsburgh Steelers (1.71, -141)
Steelers are 3-0 ATS in preseason home openers.
Philadelphia plays its second preseason game of the season against the defending AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night and will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak during exhibition play in the series. The Eagles have dropped 16-10 and 27-13 contests at Heinz Field over the 2007 and 2008 seasons respectively. The team is 9-12 all-time in the preseason series, but holds a commanding 47-27-3 record when facing off during the regular season. Head coach Andy Reid usually gets the best out of his team in Week 2, covering the number in 10 of the last 12 years.
The Eagles have had quite the preseason with numerous free agent signings and a trade that sent off backup quarterback Kevin Kolb to Arizona. Quarterback Michael Vick is the top dog in the City of Brotherly Love and was 4-of-6 passing for 74 yards in the 13-6 victory in the preseason opener at home over the Baltimore Ravens last Thursday. Reid’s offense was efficient on third down, converting 10 of 16 opportunities. On the other side of the ball, Philadelphia managed to tally six sacks on the night.
