Phony Phil Strikes Again
Yes, Phil Steeles rag "Power Sweep" is out again, chalk full of what he does best. Plays both ends. Here are some examples. In Steeles power ratings, he has Green Bay #2 in the NFL at 123.1 and Minnesota at #16 with 117.1. He has Dallas #4 at 122.6 and Philly at #14 at 117.7. He also has Seattle #9 at 119.6 and St. Louis #24 at 108.0. So who does Steeles cronies pick to win those conferences? Minny, Philly and St. Louis, of course.
I have no problems with who he picks to win the conferences, though I may not agree, but how can he go against his own power ratings? Obviously he cares less. Steele is still up to his old racket. With one phone number you can get 10 different phone scams, er picks, at various costs. He also has 12 magazines. The rag he sent me (11 pages, 4 of which are advertising) has a retail value of (are you ready for this?) $15.00. Unbelieveable. He may as well make it $1500.00 because no one would pay either price for it. And no, I did not pay for it. I would not pay 15 cents for his stuff.

Funny you mention this! I just received one today in the mail. It looks mostly like an advertising mailer. I wonder how many of these things he sends out? I live in North Carolina.

Couldn't pay me enough to read his NFL stuff, but still am a fan of his college preview edition. Not for his predictions but for the information that it provides. Still one of my favorite summer reading materials to get ready for the college football season.
