Pick-um

OK guys. Need your help. I am in a huge pick-um pool at work. I am holding my own, hanging in the top five with average 9-4 weeks. But I know it will take better picks than that to gain some ground. Pool works like this:
Pick all teams straight up with Monday night winner plus total points as tie breaker. Each week, winner gets some dough. Best record for the season takes lots of dough. I will post my picks and you can scrutinize. Help me take down these office pool punks! Thanks Mall!!

I'm in the same kind of pool. Last year I tied for first...THis year not to good, off to slow start...about 6 games out.

The key is finding those barking dogs that win outright. And the Top cappers on this site are some of the best at finding them. Of course the big dogs like last week (Stl) no one picked them so it was kind of like a push in my pool.

Stay in touch and see if we can both get a better insight in the up coming weeks.

Post what you have so far...

BOL ,Frank

I am in the same boat, let's compare notes every Thursday. I am 12 games above 500 for the year. I want to get where I can average 9, 10 hits a week.

HI Bell
The pool that were talking about is a straight up win pool. No point spread

Tough for sure. Just when my dogs are winning, my favs lose.
I am the outsider in this pool. All the guys in it, are in there cubes with access to their PC's all day to get stats and stuff. I am in the trenches all day, work OT most days and when I get home dont really have time. But I do enjoy it. Still hanging in the top 5 so far. Have not won a weekly prize yet, but came close with a 11-4 on week 3. Tied but lost with total points. Going to get it this week I think!!

Detroit is a sleeper this week. Houston should, on paper, run up the score here, but the Lions looks really good last week, and against a much better team.

St. Louis beat Washington straight up last week. Could they be a huge spoiler 2 weeks in a row...?

San Diego @ Buffalo is a tough one to call. I think Buffalo can pull it off.

And straight up, I think the Dolphins will beat Baltimore. The Ravens suck, and Flacco's even worse on the road.
But that's just my opinion. BOL on your picks.

In your situation I'd just pick the team that needs the win more than the other team

Only had 2 wrong (Mia & Cowboys) I was tied for first for the week and lost the tie breaker... The other guy had 45 points in the Nep/Den game & I had 42 Ironically I lost this week here on the Mall on the College pick 3 contest on the 3rd tie breaker in the Texas/Mizz game.

Nac...I wish i would have pulled the trigger on the Rams, I came real close to picking them. Would have gave me the win. Thanks for your input.

Kobra...How did u make out in your pool? I wish you talked me into taking Balt. The only reason I liked the Fins was because they were home. I live in Scranton and went to school @ Bloomsburg U. I used to drive thur your town all the time.

Lets keep up the info for this upcoming week.
BOL to ya
