Ben Roethlisberger, QB: His shoulder just won't heal. It's no wonder, considering they amount of times per game he is sacked. He hasn't been 100% since the preseason. The bye week didn't even seem to help. Big Ben re-injured his shoulder on a 1 yard touchdown sneak last week against the Redskins. An MRI revealed no additional damage, but he hasn't practiced until Friday, and it's a short week of preparation for the team. Ben is a tough competitor and it will take a lot for him to miss a game. He's likely a game time decision, but indications are that he will start. Byron Leftwich will be on standby.

Willie Parker, RB: "Fast" Willie returned for the first time in four games last Monday night and he looked as if he never left. It will not be the sprained MCL in his knee that prevents him from playing tomorrow. That's sufficiently healed, as his play against the Redskins indicated. Late in the third quarter of that game Parker suffered a shoulder injury. Parker cannot pinpoint exactly when it was injured. In fact, it didn't start bothering him until the next day. Parker did not practice all week and will not play tomorrow against the Colts. He is only expected to miss one game. Mewelde Moore will get another shot.

Marvel Smith, OT: Still unable to practice with back spasms, Smith will not play tomorrow. Max Starks has another week to earn his salary.

Heath Miller, TE: Heath Miller suffered a high ankle sprain in Monday night's game and will not play against the Colts. Miller was praised by Troy Polamalu and offensive coordinator Bruce Arians as the best tight end in the AFC. Always productive blocking and catching everything thrown his way, this could be a significant loss for the Steelers tomorrow. Matt Spaeth, last season's third round draft choice, will replace Miller and the newly acquired Sean McHugh will be the second tight end. In goal line situations, where the Steelers employ a three tight end formation, offensive lineman Trai Essex will be called to duty.

A note on Spaeth: Spaeth, though not listed on the injury report, has been wearing a soft cast in practice to protect a sore right wrist for precautionary reasons. He indicates that he'll be ready to go tomorrow and won't wear the cast in the game.

Lamarr Woodley, LB: Woodley has been nursing a sore calf, which he suffered playing against the Giants. The injury did not prevent him from playing Monday night, but he must have tweaked it enough in that game to be held out of Friday's team practice. He will be a game time decision. If he doesn't play, Lawrence Timmons will assume his responsibilities.

Ryan Clark, S: Clark injured his shoulder on a hard hit during the Giants game two weeks ago. He did not play against the Redskins Monday night, though he felt he could have. Clark will return to the lineup tomorrow when they play the Colts.

Colts Injury Summary

Roy Hall, WR: Knee - Questionable

Kelvin Hayden, CB: Hamstring - Out

Daniel Muir, DT: Hamstring - Questionable

Ryan Diem, T: Ankle - Probable

Tom Santi, TE: Shoulder - Probable

Jim Sorgi, QB: Hand - Probable
