Plaxico's Trial Delayed

Plaxico's trial has beendelayed until June,. which has to be bad news for the Giants. The trial could be moved up if a plea bargain is agreed to, but thagt would most likely include jail time. If the Giants are smart, they move on under the assumption that Burress will not be with them this year. If not, they could be very inadequate in the WR department. They folded like a cheap tent when Burress got into trouble to begin with last year, and can ill afford to start the season that way this year.

It doesn't work like that here in NY. Assuming they cut a deal, he can't enter his plea until the next Court date (in June). It doesn't get moved up. Too many criminals ahead of Plax in line. LOL

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Think its time the giants get a package together and try to get Boldin and part ways with Burress

Heard on ESPN that Burress is rejecting pleas because they involve TOO MUCH JAIL TIME. LMFAO.

Prosecutor wants a three year sentence.
So he does 15 months max.

^^^^^^^^

Plax really thinks he's going to walk. He needs to lawyer to really sit him down and explain the situation.

I mean, it is not like they do not have the evidence. The moron shot himself. What is he going to use as his defense? Ignorance is no excuse for the law. Maybe he will claim "self defense" because he though someone was out to get him.

With all the alter egos in the NFL, I wouldn't be surprised if he claimed self-defense because he thought he would attack himself

Now that sounds like something your typical NFL player would do.

His fate was sealed once the criminal matter got kicked over to June. As I said earlier, you cannot push that date up. If he was going to plead, he'd have been better off doing it now. His attorney (Ben Brafman) is an experienced criminal attorney. If he was going to plead him out, he should have done it before the last court appearance.

He'll do 4 months in jail--but if you start that now he's out in time for the season. Now the 2009 season is shot for him. Giants would've kept him if they thought he'd play this season. Once the next Court date got kicked to June, they know he will not.
