Buffalo at New England

Buffalo has made a late run at Oakland to be the preseason’s most dysfunctional team, firing their offensive coordinator and starting left tackle with a week before the season. (Their first team offense didn’t score a touchdown in five preseason games.)

Their new no-huddle offense will be interesting to watch, but facing Bill Belichick in the opener isn’t a recipe to suddenly turn things around. Tom Brady’s return to the regular season could include a lot of handing off, as the Patriots try to get balanced in an effort to keep their star healthy.

The Bills are 1-11 under on the road when facing a divisional opponent for the first time of the season and 0-7 under as a road dog versus a divisional opponent before playing at home against a non-divisional opponent. The Patriots are 3-13 under as a home 7+ favorite versus a divisional opponent.

The Patriots’ reloaded defense will rule the day, preventing Terrell Owens from breaking out his Spy Camera celebration. Don’t get your popcorn ready; this could be a grinding game.
