cuz Rivers told them to go f themselves and wasn't going to go as an alternate when he should have been the starter. of course he said knee soreness but everyone knows that wasnt the reason. plus, who wants to spend a week with jay cutler

oh and this

The Chargers are 33-15 and have gone to the playoffs all three seasons with Rivers as the starting quarterback. Rivers' passer rating and touchdown-to-interce ption ratio are better than those of Tom Brady, John Elway, Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana or Steve Young in their first 48 NFL starts.

rjb, he will never get respect until he wins a SuperBowl. Damn good QB but I think he is a nut case. His actions on the side lines and reactions on the field at times is child like. Kids got talent but he appears to be lacking leadership skills. I think in a few years stories will come out. I believe that players make fun of him and laugh at his child like behavior. Somethings wrong because this team has had TONS of talent the last 2 years and fell flat on their face.

rjb, please don't start comparing him to Ben because for one I don't want to hear it . Pittsburgh is not centered around the QB position but Ben has already proven that he is a big player in big games. Pittsburgh is not about Ben its about Pittsburgh. I'll take Ben over Rivers any day. Admit it, some QB's just don't win, Marino is proof of that. And by the way, he should have been picked this season but I don't think NFL players like him, its a fact.

1. 33-15 in 3 seasons as a starter shows he can win

2. He is a leader and every one of his teammates loves playing with him. If it wasnt for him this year they would have tanked

3. Why not compare him to Big Ben? You think for 1 second if Rivers didn't have the Pitt defense behind him he wouldnt be in the same spot? Cmon

4. Ben's average in big games. Look at his numbers in the super bowl, they are laughable

You mean to tell me that the SD Chargers DIDNT tank ? No really, then what do you call it ?

We will never know what Rivers would do on the Steelers, with what I am seeing I am going to thank God tonight that I didn't have to find out.

Ben's average ????? All he does is WIN!!!!!
