The problems with the Packers

I see alot of bashing of the Packers from time to time (rightfully so) on this site and I thought I would add my input.

I'm a huge Packer fan and watch every game. Here is why they stink so bad this year.

1. Their defensive coordinator Bob Sanders is a ****ing idiot. If they don't fire this loser they have no hope for next year. Yes their defense is overall bad this year, but he is the one calling/not calling the right plays. This D rarely ever blitzes and they can't seem to find the right time to switch to zone (like today for instance) from man to man. He is terrible.

2. Injuries have plagued this team all year long. Cullen Jenkins, Justin Harrell and Nick Barnett out for the year. Atari Bigby (basically out for the year) has played in I think 2 games. Remember him last year? Dude was a HARD-hitter and brought alot of intensity on D. Plus AJ Hawk and Ryan Grant playing hurt early on. This team did not have this injury problem last year.

3. Aaron Rodgers is no Brett Favre. I like him alot, and he will only get better, but he cannot get rid of the ball quick enough like Favre did, and he cannot make the plays that Favre could. This team will play for him, but he is not Brett Favre.....but again.....he will continue to get better I believe.

4. Whoever made the point about the bounces is right. This team has now lost 5 games (5 ****ing games!) by 4 points or less. Last year all the bounces bounced our way, but this year is the complete opposite. NOTHING is bouncing our way.

The main problem is our defense, but our offense is nothing spectacular either. Overall, I believe our team is not as bad as their 5-8 record, but they need to fix alot of things in the offseason. Mark Tausher and Chad Clifton on the O-line are getting old and we need to either draft or sign a few defensive players who are playmakers as well. Other than Kampman, we tend to put ZERO pressue on opposing QB's.

Last year may have been a bit of a fluke, but this is still a good team and I expect them to be alot better next year. They may only win one or 2 more games this year, but this team has alot of young talent, they just need a new defensive coordinator and a few more pieces to the puzzle and I believe they will be back next year.

It'll take time, but you, as a Packers fan, need to do what I, as a Broncos fan, have done:

stop comparing the current QB's to the Hall of Famers we had.

Favre's gone (so is Elway) and now it's Rodger's (Cutler's) team. The days ahead are bright, and the old memories will live on. But we need to give these kids a break and let them be their OWN players and not reincarnations of past greats. They have enough pressure as it is.

But I agree with what you said. GB's on the right track player-wise, but their D has been lacking, particularly their CB's. Getting rid of KGB was dumb also, imo.

The Browns are awful right now. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I know frozen pond but like they say any given Sunday

i can't see browns winning game 2nd st road hanging in at titans as DD dog covering the whole game just cannot score Td's

I know my Eagles ya saw it happen to SKINS at HOME two DOG wins over DIV rivals then HOME to the 0-4 Rams as a two TD fav LOST the Game

Egales have TIE breaker over Cowboys and Skins they beat Rams (conf game)

BOTH frauds lost to the Rams

BUT NYG holds all tie breakers over the whole DIV

WON at Steelers WON vs Ravens WON vs BenGals

WON at arizona
