Question on Jets/ Cards game

Anyone watch this game? IN the 4th quarter, Jets were up I think 14 and at the Arizona 20 something yardline. Well it was 4th and 3 i believe. Obviously you kick the FG here and go up 3 scores, but they went for it on 4th and Favre threw a TD and then they wetn for 2. No fix was in because the OVER hit in the first half and Jets were easily covering but I didnt understand that move. Does someone know if Jets kicker was hurt or were the Jets just running it up? Not a big deal either way because it didnt affect any bets, but I just couldnt figure that out. Thanks -Cat

It would've been a 41 yard FG and they just missed a 44 yard FG only a minute earlier (luckily Warner fumbled it back to them on the very next play lol). I guess they didn't want to risk another miss or a blocked kick, especially the way their defense was playing in the 2nd half.

I was at the game. they were up 13 so fieldgoal would of made it 2 possession game still technically, but I would still normally agree that fieldgoal is by far the right play with 2 minutes left.

I honestly think it has mostly to do with having no confidence at all in Feeley. He looked horrible last week, and had already missed a couple gimmes this game (one he was lucky there was a penalty he got to rekick).

No confidence in their kicking game, and prob would rather turn it over on downs then get one blocked and possibly run back. I think if it would of made it a 3 possession game they would of tried to kick, but who knows. Maybe it has a little something to do with trying to get Farve 6 td's as well, still not sure.

was a crazy game. hope boldin is ok by the way, that is personally one of the worst hits I have seen a human take in my life, the sound of contact is still fresh in my head, it sounded like he snapped his neck. was horrible

They need to find a kicker bad in their bye week. lucky to somehow be 2-2 without a reliant kicker

ok thanks, I didnt realize it was only 13, but yeah kicking was still the right thing to do so you must be right about them hating their kicker. Giants have 2 kickers now, maybe they can have one, they wont even have to move lol
