Question for the Mall..........

I use Betus for one of my online books. I recently referred a friend to join as well. I am now seeing that different lines are being offered in my account compared to my friend's account. Specifically, the Pats/Fin total in my account is currently 48 while 48.5 in my friend's account. My friend mainly bets overs, so I am wondering if the book adjusts lines based on each accounts' tendancies. Has anyone else ever noticed this? Is is normal?

Wondering more than anything. Thoughts are appreciated.

Ewww...that stinks. I never use them because I had some "issues" with them about a bonus that they paid. The customer service wasn't the best. But I'll be interested to see if posting multiple lines is the case.

Yeah - I have had a few "issues" with them as well, mainly with customer service, but I do like their website so I have continued to use them. I have always wondered about the the offering of different lines but this is the first time I have seen it first hand. Depending on any other input I might receive here, I will be more than happy to call them out on such a practice. Like you said, it could be interesting............

i have heard before that they do adjust lines based on bettors tendencies. sometimes i check their lines on the website before i log in to see if that works

Yep - I just checked the lines before logging in and the total was 48. I then logged in to my friends account and viola, the line goes to 48.5.

I suppose they have the right to offer any lines they wish, but as ASP put it - that stinks.

Actually I am on the phone with them right now, and they have transferred me three different times. This should be good..............

What's funny is the account has only been open since Friday, so either there were a helluva lot of over bets (ala Gerk!) or it doesn't take much to profile someone...........

This is good shit. They are telling me that they changed servers over the weekend and that the lines for certain accounts aren't refreshing. I am now on hold again................

What a joke. I was just told that an email has been sent to their IT dept and that the problem would be corrected. I asked them to call me back once the issue is resolved.

So what are the odds that they follow up with me??? I don't know but I bet the lines will be different depending on the customer

Btw - they were adamant that all customers are offered the same lines, so once the problem is corrected, we shouldn't be seeing this issue again. Yeah right.............

One funny (although not at the time) problem I had with them was this....

I deposited $1k and automatically saw the account bonused 20% (or something like that) because of some promotion they had. Then, after having problems with the website immediately thereafter, I decided I didn't want a 3rd online account (I already have 2 - one of which I use primarily and have used for 10+ years).

So I went to withdraw my money and it wouldn't let me. After being transferred and put on hold forever, I was finally told that I couldn't withdraw my money because of the bonus rules. I explained that this had been done 1 hour ago - I had not made any bets, and I didn't even ask for the bonus. All I wanted to do was withdraw my deposit..... not the bonus obviously. They said I'd have to roll my account over 14x first.

Just by comparison, the site I've used for 10+ years has on two occasions voided bets that I made (on my request) when I accidentally hit the wrong button. I have NEVER been transferred and put on hold like I was with BetUS.

This is good. They acted like they didn't know my friends account and I didn't tell them the account number. I kust now logged back in to her account and the number has magically declined down to 48. I guess the problem is fixed

Hey solid - I would suggest logging back into your account to see what your total now is. I'll be shocked if it is still not 49..............

Which is what we are now seeing in both of our accounts. Given my history with this crew, I just can't beleive all this was an honest mistake. It will be interesting to see if anything more comes of this.

Thanks guys for all the input, as it felt good confronting these clowns with some outside ammunition.
