Post Raiders cut JaMarcus Russell

Raiders released QB JaMarcus Russell.

Russell didn't show enough at last week's minicamp for Al Davis to justify carrying him as a $6.5 million risk throughout the spring and summer. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft, selected over then-coach Lane Kiffin's objections, finishes his Raiders career with a 7-18 record, 52.1 completion percentage, 18:23 TD-to-INT ratio and a 65.2 passer rating. Considering his bloated contract (Davis paid him $40M over the past 3+ years), Russell may have bypassed Ryan Leaf as the biggest bust in NFL draft history. Don't expect to see any other teams rushing out to sign Russell, though we've heard rumors that the Colts may kick his tires down the road.

Hes gonna have to sign anything someone throws at him.

What would the Colts do with him, assuming that the only rumor here we have would turn out to be true?

The guy will "NEVER" play in another NFL football game. That you can take to the bank like he did with his check from the raiders. Reason 109 on why Al Davis should crawl under a rock and die.

Have you looked at the quality of some qb's in the league. The guy will definately catch on somewhere else and get an opportunity. It will just be a matter of how he handles himself. Willing to bet he plays in another NFL game at some point in the near future.

With the $40 mil he pocketed, the guy shouldn't need to ever play in another game!
