Ravens McClain fined for hit on Miller

Wont say I told you so....

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) — The hit against Steelers tight end Heath Miller didn’t go unnoticed by NFL officials.

Ravens linebacker Jameel McClain will be fined $40,000 for the hit that gave Miller a concussion.

The referees did not throw a flag on the play during the Sunday night game in Baltimore where the Steelers won 13-10.

Miller’s head and neck bent backward during the third-quarter hit and he did not return to the game. He must pass a series of concussion tests before being allowed to play again.

Collinsworth said last night that they taled to an offical and there should have been a flag thrown. Did anyone read harrisions lips when talking toa player after it happen. " If it was me I would been flagged and fined. He also stated the same thing when interviewed after the game.

Trib Review Update:

"Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has been docked $15,000 for inadvertently hitting Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the face and breaking his nose.

Neither play resulted in a penalty."

But no flags hence the reason why the should get rid of this new rule. Some teams get an extra 15 yards with the new penalty and some don't. Until the NFL can make this call from the booth I say you let the players play. We all can see at home when its a bad hit. Make this call from the booth and let them call down to the field. I'm telling you this is going to cost a team in the playoffs and then someone is REALLY going to be pissed. Imagine if it happens on a questionable call in the SuperBowl.

More fines to come if these two meet in the playoffs.

I am not surprised he got fined, or the one on Big Ben. They were along the same lines as Harrison's & I still can't believe not 1 flag was thrown.
