Turn the clock back a year and both these sides were division winners but at present it would take a miracle for either to take that position this year and the likelihood is that the loser here will be well and truly done for the season.

Both sides have identical and disappointing 4-7 records, but there is no doubt in my mind as to who has been and continues to be the biggest disappointment – the Philadelphia Eagles. Labelled as the season’s “dream team” they look like more a collection of highly-paid individuals that have failed to gel and you certainly wouldn’t consider them to be a team – they have become totally inconsistent and enter the Thursday night game reeling from a crushing defeat to the Patriots and riddled with injuries.
