Report: Nolan 'likely coaching his last game'

ESPN's Michael Smith reports that 49ers head coach Mike Nolan is "likely coaching his last game" against the Seahawks this week.

"Barring a dramatic change in course," Smith said on NFL Live, "The team is going to relieve Nolan of his coaching duties and replace him with assistant head coach Mike Singletary." It's not a shock after Nolan was nearly fired last offseason. Since Singletary figures to leave Mike Martz and the offense alone, the possible move doesn't have a huge fantasy impact. get nolan a freakin qb before getting rid of him. we have no f'ing passing game and he is expected to win a division or something? seriously, the niners turned down getting jeff garcia back for peanuts from tb and i find that to be a joke. he would have been a major upgrade over o'sullivan and we may actually have an extra win or two. i'm not saying that nolan is God or anything, but give him a fair shot before yanking the cord.

can't win if you don't field winning players and we haven't had a winning qb since garcia, they f'd up in the draft with qb, i had wanted rodgers from day one and they went with smith, totally retarded move which led to where we are today. and can our offensive line get our qb's sacked less then 3 times in any game?

He pays the price for having a $hitty owner. Not a 49er fan but most of my friends are. They have not been the same since Eddie Debartalo was removed as the owner. Bring back Eddie D and the team will once again be at the top. Nolan got phucked in this deal, it was a lose lose situation.

agreed steel, eddie d was the man! his sister and retard of a husband have no clue on how to run a football team and they don't care like eddie did about the history and winning.
