it is an incentive laden contract from what ive heard. being a bear fan though i hope the incentive is that he stops turning the ball over. i hope they stop calling him a gunslinger and the like, boy he's terrible. play orton please, he is not the best but rarely makes the big mistake, which grossman takes pride in doing...

The Chicago Bears will reportedly re-sign QB Kyle Orton to a similar contract as Rex Grossman and would be the starter if the season started today.

The Bears Running Back picks were not wise but I wouldn't say that the players they picked just couldn't cut it in the NFL, it was off field issues.

Rashaan Salaam had a great Rookie year before he hit the Pipe a little too hard and he never recovered from there.

Curtis Enis was working his way into being a good Player, but he packed on major pounds and aside from that he is a Religious Psycho.

Anthony Thomas just plain had his duties taken from him, he wasn't too bad though.

Benson is TBD.

Enis was averaging less than 3 yards a carry before he left town, and Anthony Thomas around the same. They werent franchise running backs, and Salaam had a good rookie year, aside from his nearly DD fumbles.

Enis was a good receiver, and yes they had under 3 yards a carry but in their final years they both touched it less than 50 times.

Put in Wolf

When you cant block cant pass you can at least be fast and play with heart. Remember one of their games i was watching they put him in and he was more productive then anyone who came before him, then of course they took him out. Kids got potential

Benson was a and the better running back when Jones was on the team. Played quality as a backup, like he had something to prove. Got the starting job and fell apart, couldnt force the guy through a hole.

As for grossman, by far the worst qb to ever hold a starting spot on a team for more then 10 games, much less get carried by the defense to the SB. I dont care if its a min sallary, waste of money. No one in their right mind would pick him up... though I guess that still leaves the phins and falcons as possiblitys. No confidence, struggles with accuracy no mobility. Doesnt matter how far you can throw it if you doubt yourself and/or cant rarely hit anyone anyways.

Ya, when he had a defense that carried him there. What do Grossman and Dilfer have in common?????? Both were carried by their defense!

That's pretty good coming from a guy who'se team has not won a playoff game in 12 years. Typical Texas B.S. Back to the subject at hand. the ONLY thing that saved those two clowns who claim to be QB's on the Bears is the fact that the draft does not have and "star" QB. There is no one out there who is a guaranteed starter in one year. The Bears may as well stick to what they have and work on other areas of their sorry offense.

haha I graduated w/ Garrett..... me and iggs both actually.

Grossman had just as many 100+ passer rating games as Peyton Manning in 06, so when he's on he's on. Problem was he had no in between. If he was bad, he was real bad. I wouldnt quit on him just yet.
