the eagles have Really impressed me this pre-season as they always do every year till someone goes down with an injury...much has been said about their defense but Ive been impressed with their offense even more...mcnabb & Westbrook are healthy and that is usually trouble for defenses even with the banged up receiving core.....with Reggie brown gimping right now we will see what this kid Desean Jackson is all about...Ive watched this kid thru-out college and he is the real deal with direct cuts & precise routes not to mention speed which fits perfect in their style of play... now they will be going against a healthy st. Louis ram team which could mirror image them... Bulger,Jackson,Holt, and their big lineman Orlando Pace will be back and ready to prove to the league that their offense is more than able this season.... defensively i don't think first round pick Chris long will make the huge impact to help the defense completely ....so this is my thoughts and my play for this game..........with the hype about Philly's defense this games total should by no means be where its at...44 points is begging you to take the under especially with all the under trends for both teams in this game... but we are siding with the over as both offenses will be in full gear and the rams defense will still be the rams defense....expect fireworks and passes to bomb all over the place....6 touchdowns combined easily and few kicks to boot

lions vs falcons

Ive watched much preseason of these 2 horrible teams from last year & believe me imo there is not much improvement for either of these teams this season....yet i find that a little improvement is better than none... which is why ill be backing these falcons come Sunday.... with their new high priced Man behind center in Matt Ryan he will be ready to show his worth & new Rb Michael turner will give Atlanta another option that hasn't been around for a few years. i feel that they will begin their climb from the NFL bottom barrel while getting past the Michael Vick era...they open their season for their new coach & new look at home where they won 3 of their 4 games last year..not to mention that they played 5 games at home against playoff teams going 1-4... sure they got blown out in most of those games but just being on the field with those playoff teams had to be a learning experience....i have a funny feeling that they will open this season against a horrible defensive team in the lions for themselves & their fans.....Detroit to me has the talent on the offensive side of the Ball in their receiving core but till they Can run the Ball they are one dimensional & unpredictable...i mean look.. isn't the signing of rudi Johnson to help them a far fetch stretch... i think so..... bottom line is this... when this lion team takes the field on Sunday they will be facing a hungry team who are 8-2 in its last ten opening games & has nothing but positive momentum on their side.... the falcons played less inferior teams well at home last year and i expect more of the same...especially when this terrible defense gave up 27 ppg while averaging 5.5 ypp...surprise play here for many but not in my book...falcons win 23-20
