Rookieee's Mnf Write-up Den Vs. Sd

Tonight’s Den 6-8SU / 4-10 ATS vs. SD.10-4SU / 9-5 ATS game is intriguing for many bettors out there. Many different theories as to what happens tonight among many handicappers and analysts… I have my opinion as well…so lets get the basics out the way….

SAN DIEGO TRENDS AND VIEWS
SD is clearly the better all around team
SD went to Denver and spanked the crap out of them back in October 41-3
SD needs a victory for the #3 seeding which would mean avoiding N.E.
won and covered their last 3 games against Denver
5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games
7-1 ATS their last 8 games against AFC opponents
15-3 in the last 18 home game as a favorite of 3.5-10 points
16-5-3 ATS against lowly AFC WEST teams

DENVER TRENDS AND VIEWS
DENVER is out of the playoffs
4-12 ATS in their last 16 against AFC opponents
1-6 ATS in their last 7 on the road
2-9 ATS against division West opponents
6-4 ATS as a road underdog vs. AFC opponents off a loss
1-4 ATS last 5 games in December
15-3 OVER as a road team after non division game last 3 years

Now my thoughts on this game… I honestly think this game matters a whole lot for both teams but particularly both coaches… being from the bay area, California I witnessed both mike shanshan and norv turner in their hey day raider days…. Mike holds grudges and grant it that their season is over, he will try righting the ship in areas his team needs in these next few games particularly his run defense and what better night to work on that than tonight……. buddy ole norv is a really conservative guy and doesn’t want anything to jeopardize this gig with SD so I expect him to be extra cautious in this game just enough to win. With his banged up players still recovering I expect them to be conservative being they still could lock up #3 seed with win over guess who…. The raiders next week…… the bottom line here for me tonight is that all trends everywhere lean to san Diego and the over…. I’m thinking that something is brewing before xmas and am not totally sold on this Vegas line….therefore I am going to throw out all these trends and go with my intuition tonight on what on know about these coaches their thought process and past actions. Look for a controlled game with Denver emphasizing stopping the run and San Diego trying to just get a win….
