adrian peterson and the rest of the minnesota rushing offense last week had a hard time against the 12th rank rush defense of arizona... This was the first time all season that everything fell on the shoulders of brett... Sure there is talk of him getting tired and fading late in december but the fact remains this is a better team than last seasons jets... Over the last 3 seasons he is 13-6 su and 6-3 su at home against the afc.... The average marigin of victory in both stats are 10 points....he had an average day last season against these bengals going 25/33 for 189 with a td and 2 picks....

The bengals are #1 in rush defense (81.8 yards pg) and #1 in points allowed (15.6pg)...what really intrigues me about this defense is the fact they hold their opposing offenses to only 21.42 minutes per a game ~~ the next 2 teams after them are jax and green bay, which hold their teams to a tad under 25 minutes

despite last weeks running problem and loss, the vikings were able to hold the ball for more than 31 minutes and they hold the ball for an average of 33.10 minutes a game this season.


ROOKIEEE FINAL THOUGHT

the bengals have averaged 21.2 points pg on the road while the vikings have scored a whopping 31.6 ppg at home averaging 405 ypg in offense.... Both teams have tremendous rushing defenses and by the looks of both teams scheduling, i would have to lean the vikings defense gets a better nod by how the afc north is playing this season...

Stat wise both teams are playing good in the numbers as the vikings in games favored by 3.5-9.5 are 5-1 ats this season and 10-2 ats over the last 3 years.... The bengals are the underdog playing team as they are 6-0 ats in that role this season....

There is a lot at stake and i think that both teams injury reports are a little deceiving to throw some illusions.... This game is on the turf and i think the speed will be a little faster on both sides of the ball....i dont think that the bengals are going to hold the brett farve and the minnesota offense to only 21 minutes of the ball....i dont think adrian peterson is only going to get 18 yards like last week.... I dont think brett will fade down the stretch like last season and i definately dont think that minnesota defense can stop the bengals run game behind their big tough offensive line.... Both teams need to use this game as a playoff indicator especially with the road games ahead for both teams....

Despite major "total" trends against and the 2 best rush defenses, i am going to play my big play on the over in this game as i believe both teams can score and both teams will make adjustments in this measuring stick of teams with soft schedules... One stat i do like thats in our favor is that the vikings at home as a favorite of 3.5-7 points are 7-1 to the over in the last 3 years ~~ 1-1 with brett and 6-0 without..... Ill take an over with brett here

i also am going to play the second half in this game as i think that this isnt going to be dominated by one team , therefore i will play against whoever wins the first half
