Rookiees MNF write~up New England vs New Orleans

Patriots vs Saints

i talked about this game about a month ago as the scheduling set these two teams on a big collision course tonight... This will be the most watched mnf game this season and probably the most bet on as well...

There already is so much talked about the perfect season to the better coaching , but im not going to get into that as most already know whats at stake.... But a reminder to everyone that new england is riding a 6 game mnf win streak.....

New orleans brings the number #1 offense averaging 421 yards per a game and have scored a league leading 36.9 points per a game... They rank 4th in both passing (265.3 pg) / and rushing (155.3 pg).....

Now many think that the opponents they have faced with a combined record of 37-63 are not in the same caliber as the patriots they face tonight, but imo those records deceive what the saints offense really has done this season....

We all know their strength is the passing game and they have proved it against these so called inferior teams in passing yards allowed per a game

carolina ~ 3rd ( 181) // n.o. Threw 330
nyg ~ 4th (184) // n.o. Threw 369
nyj ~ 2nd (176) // n.o. Threw 190
buffalo ~ 8th (198) n.o. Threw 172
philly ~ 10th (204) n.o. Threw 311

new england is the 6th best team against the pass with 187 ypg

it seems to me that those low numbers against the jets and bills are lower than normal due to the type of slow-down game their offenses possess.... Both the bills and jets run a more balance type of offense ~ a run first type of offense.... And with the saints able to run the ball those numbers were deflated..... But lets keep in mind that both of those games were played before their bye week and since then at home for 3 games ~ drew brees has throw for 1007 yards and 7 tds.

So the question here is whether or not the patriots and coach bill are going to use lawrence maroney they way they have over the last few weeks ... Especially against a new orleans rushing defense which ranks 20th with 117 yards per a game, giving up a whopping 4.7 ypc.... My thought on this is definately no !!!!

The reason imo is this.... It doesnt take the new orleans saints much time to warm up as they have scored on thier opening or 2nd offensive drive in all but 2 games, with one of those 2 games having scored on their 3rd drive.... If im correct, i believe its 13 tds on all games first 3 drives... I may be wrong but i know im close.... Scoring fast this season hasnt stopped new orleans from winning ...what it has done created a fast paced game early against some of those inferior teams we talked about earlier...in fact since the bye week for the saints they have allowed a touchdown on the opponents opening drive in 3 of their last 4 games ( tb,car, atl ) .. They allowed a touchdown to miami on their 2nd drive and a fg on nyg second drive.... Imo the patriots offense is far superior to all those teams......

rookieee final thought

new orleans defense is very underrated imo and dont believe they hype that coach bill defense has given up.... Both teams defense will get a little tired come late in this game as i think the early quick pace the saints are playing right now will cause a shootout with both mvp type of qb's in this game.... We are going to see fireworks from both offenses.... This game is suppose to be the hype its meant to be... And the overflated total on this game seems a little high but justly right imo....im sure both teams will try to run a little but the game is going to be on the arms of both qbs tonight...

Brady has thrown for 300+ in each of his last 5 games with 14 td's and brees has throw for 7 td's in his last 3 home games.....

The saints are amazing at home against top teams going 9-1-1 ats

not going to think about defenses when the offenses will rule this game, therefore im playing the over as the over is 4-0 in the saints last 4 mnf games.... 15-3 in their last 18 home games and 16-4-1 thier last 21 on the green....

Who wins this game is up to you... But im playing the over 56

7***** over 56 pats/saints
