From everything I have read I believe the Steelers are sitting back waiting for the courts to decide. I also believe that Ben's stay with the Steelers is OVER. No way this family lets him stay even if they don't press charges. Ben has shown that he puts himself above the team on more then one occassion. For years now I have listened to people say that its not the QB that wins in Pittsburgh. Well I believe now we are all going to see because Ben will get his walking papers in the very near future.

Sorry Steel have to disagree about Pitt giving Ben his walking papers even if charges are not pressed.. Lets not forget they just resigned their kicker who has been ARRESTED twice in the last 3 years.. Who could forget "Turnpike" Ernie Holmes shooting at a State Police helicopter in the offseason only to suit up on opening day.. True the Rooneys are pissed and have looked the other way in the past with Ben's antics ( bike crash.. suspect injuries.. bad rep off the field...player indifference towards him.. ect..)
But he is still young ( not just in age but in maturity) .. My two cents says the Rooneys sit him down and tell him things MUST change.. But in no way in this day and age do they let him go unless he his found guilty of any crime( not even charged will do it IMO).. For two reasons.. first he is a QB (hard to replace )second they Steelers still remember when Bettis was accused of sexual battery during camp only to find out that the women and her boyfriend had it planned out to make false claims and sue the Bus.. Not to say this was in any way the case with ben but IMO it helps him in dealing with the Rooneys.. Bottom line if he does not get indicted their is zero chance Pitt lest him go.. If he gets indicted the NFL will get its pound of flesh.. If convicted he is gone.. Sans all that he is on a short leash here in the Burgh but maybe just maybe this is the incident that turns on the maturity light on for Big Ben.. Did he do it ? Tough call.. Still hard for me to beleive that a woman could be raped in a bathroom in a bar without anyone hearing or seeing the act if the girl was protesting.. Hell drunk in a bar in a bathroom with a girl most men would have a hard enough time doing it with a consenting adult.. Not yet one who is fighting back and resisiting the overture.. Lets see get an erection .. put on a condom (no DNA) ..pull your pants down.. take her pants down while fighting her back.. maintain erection.. Insert in screaming and moving resisting women all the while nobody hears or sees this in a bar bathroom or broom closet.. Really.. Would be interested to hear if she was wearing a skirt or pants because if it was pants .. Well.... Please ... Have had some experience taking off a pair of painted on pants with a consenting adult women and that in itself is a job... Not done with consent in a bar and drunk (both of them) Dude would have to be pretty nimble IMO.. Ben is a bull in a china shop.. Did he do it.. Dont know.. Bad decisions .. without doubt.. If he did it he is a loser and should go to jail.. But until that point is reached .. IMO ben is going nowhere and should not.. I am old school.. Innocent till proven quilty.. Not like todays way of thinking ..Guilty to proven innocent.. Alot of people see athletes as cash cows (see Duke incident) out there ... Show me the evidence first before I pass judgement.. Is Ben an ASS.. YES.. Does it look bad that it happened twice.. Without a doubt has me questioning Ben for sure.. But quilty? Not so fast my friend..

just FYI, the charge is not for rape, but sexual assault. which could be a small as a slap on the ass with no consent. nobody knows what the act was but whatever it is i think he is guilty.

Ben Roethlisberger's accuser did not appear for a second interview, and the case against him may be weakening, reports Andy Sheehan of KDKA-TV.

The accuser did not show up for a scheduled interview a week ago yesterday and that as of Friday she still had not come in to be questioned.

Pittsburgh defense attorney Robert Del Greco told Sheehan if the accuser doesn't come forward, prosecutors may have to suspend the investigation. "Unless you're willing to cooperate with us in the prosecution of a crime, we are not going to call this a crime," Del Greco said. [KDKA]

could care less about this. The guy has a problem and is a known dipshit by the people in Pittsburgh and esp some of the bars he frequents.

Ben is complete phuck up and I for one want him off the team. I hope he breaks his legs this season so the entire team can laugh at him. 50 million dollars in the bank and you have to go to night clubs to hit on women, what a loser. Its like this Ziggy, he has phucked up 3 times now. So with the 3 strikes means your out. I agree he may not be totally guilty but he is gulity of being one of the stupidest NFL QB in the league. He does not deserve the Steelers. Ziggy I respect your opinion but 3 strikes and your done in my eyes. Ben may have money but he sure has no class.

Good I hope she hangs the idiot. If the Steelers were smart they would have picked up McNabb. After all you don't have to be a good QB to win a championship in Pittsburgh.
