Round 1 Recap

feel free to add your thoughts as well. rd 1 not done yet but nothing that would be added will happen after the Oher pick. from here on out the talent thins out and late 1s could be 2s and 2s could show up in rd one

The Good
Crabtree - for value and need alone. dont know now how good hes going to be after all the teams that passed on him

Andre Smith - not even close best OT in the draft, would have been #1 or #2. He is back on track and Palmer will have a great career now

Mark Sanchez - as of right now this is a move the Jets hd to make. they need a franchise QB because they havent had one since Namath. he could step in and play, they have a good OL, a good running game, good wrs, and a great TE. brilliant move here

BJ Raji - they needed DL help so bad and got the best DL in the draft

Michael Oher - great value for the Ravens. will protect Flacco for 12 years

The Bad

Jeremy Maclin - they basically drafted another DeSean Jackson. the Eagles seem to be looking to the future and not the present with this pick and going after Boldin. Eagles should now shock the world and still get Boldin

Brandon Pettigrew - nothing against him, hes the best TE in the draft, but how do you pass up Oher we you have the worst OL in the NFL

Knowshon Moreno - they needed a LB or another DL like Jerry. they have like 9 RBs on that roster.

The Ugly

Darius Hayward-Bey - im speechless

Aaron Curry - you are loaded at the LB position why would you spend 40 mil more there? I dont care if he was their highest rated player, you could use a WR to play with TJ, some OL help, DL help, you need a QB to takeover for 48 yr old Hassleback. I would have dne whatever I could to trade out of this spot. I hate this pick almost as much as the Raiders pick.

Heywood-Bey was no surprise at all. Maclin can not run routes, and who knows how healthy Crabtree is. Heywood-Bey was the fastest of the WR's and that is all Davis wanted. A good pick? I don't know, but certainly not a suprise.

I'm pumped for Green Bay. Raji gives them depth throughout the entire defensive line, and Matthews will fit perfectly in the 3-4 both rushing the passing and playing in coverage.

I'm happy because GB has been the youngest team in the league the last two or three years. GB didn't need anymore you guys, they needed studs, and they got two of em.

My only worry is O-Line, but hopefully the June 1st cuts bring along something nice.
