Are the Saints going after Manning?

Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams recently told a Nashville radio station that the Saints plan to rattle Colts quarterback Peyton Manning by hitting him whenever they can, and that the goal is to knock him out of the game.

Golic says it's part of the game & all teams say this in lockeroom

Football is a violent sport so what are your thoughts on coach saying it?

he gets the ball out so quick, the saints dont have the personell to accomplish this. they dont even run a 3-4. only way saints win is to outscore them

I don't have a problem with coach saying it... is it smart to say it in public? NO... but like Golic says - it IS said in the lockerroom...

I think everyone knows that knocking a QB down is always important... Just don't go Buddy Ryan Style... no class...

Buddy Ryan prob biggest POS coach NFL has ever seen

Yeah it worked for them when they played Zona w/ Warner . Won't work here Manning reads defences much to well !! The more the aints blitz to get to Manning the more points will be scored for Indy... So bring it on aints D & see what happens.......

most teams are scared to pressure because they assume he will pick them apart

they would rather play with 5 in the secondary

everybody keeps saying the saints defense is terrible

yet the age old "defense wins championships" has them in the the superbowl

they apply pressure no matter if you beat them with a slant or not, they keep comming

thats the formula that has gotten them the most takeaways in the league why change now

this team hasnt lost when they are healthy, in all of their losses they had 3-5 starters gone from the defense alone

that defense is not that great. they send a lot of guys and get home sometimes, but favre put up 450 yards on them last week and the only reason it looked like they were so good at getting pressure is cuz minny's line sucks ass at pass protection. Colts are much much better
