well the public is heavy on the falcons and the line says the chargers can cover. if they can get over these last two losses and play the way they are capable they will cover...but its hard to know where they are at mentally right now. hopefully the holidays will get them re-energized and take the mind off football for a little. i feel its the right side...gl

OK i always look at who NEEDS to WIN the Game !

CHARGERS then i look at schedule to see if they looking ahead to a DIV rival .......... Falcons really unloaded a lot of offense over rival panthers CHARGERS aint scoring much at all latley 32nd ranked pass Defense in league

RUN d is fair Falcons can pass and RUN the ball Chagers might WIN but NOT cover the 5 spot as a matter of fact all 5 point favs are bad covers past 6 yrs i have noticed when line opens at 5 and stays there at game day that fav squeaks a 1 point win

usually late in year when i see a team NEEDS to win a game or playoff hopes are dashed I say IF they were any GOOD they wouldnt NEED to WIN the game ! They would just want TO WIN the game

I hate THE Chargers with a passion and THE Padres they both suck wind at END of year !

Last YEAR Chargers played more consistently and again 2nd year around BUST Loser of all TIME NORV Turner falls apart

really have to Blame Chagers org whoever drafts players has no clue about defenses they have the worst corners and linebackers i ever saw i cant even name them they are so bad !

WR's their is no real game breakers

TE is good RB lost it !

THE O line dosent create Holes for HIM anymore THE play calling is weak NO creativity bad clock management

I gotta agree with rjb on this. Their LB's are above average (stellar when Merriman's around), and their DB's are pretty good.

As for game-breaking WR's, Floyd's name has popped up a few times this year. And Chambers has flown under the radar for years now. Plus, you don't need a game-breaking WR when Rivers is throwing the ball well. But that's the key: Rivers NEEDS to be throwing the ball well.

SD's run game has gone to shit. LT's not the same LT, and they don't use Sproles enough (they should look at the Jets' use of their backs) for the run game to become a factor right now. This game (as have most this year) will rely on an accurate, CALM Philip Rivers.

If he chills the f*ck out, SD wins. If he freaks and pushes himself too hard, SD gets burned by the Burner. Plus if their D can make a few stands, Sproles will be able to give them some good field position with punt returns.

SD can and SHOULD win this game. It just depends on which SD shows up.
