Question SanDiego Superchargers...

are they cursed? 2 qbs that got away from them wins 2 superbowls...would either have won it all with the chargers?

what do you mean that much better all around?

I think they caught some breaks the year they won, do I think if he was the chargers qb he could have gone to NE with no LT and no Gates and won? No

Very happy for brees but would still take rivers over him without hesitation...

Eli lol I tink that one is pretty obv

Let's hope mr.who wasn't trying to say the chargers took leaf over peyton in the draft like I've heard multiple morons say these last 2 weeks

People say the vikings are cursed too, I don't think so imo there are 28 other teams that are cursed each year...is peyton cursed? He has llost his share of big games no?

In the end its just football and there is MUCH more then a Qb to win a superbowl...awesome thread btw

i've had this argument numerous times over the last few weeks and i'll keep having it til the day if/when the chargers win one with rivers

The Chargers offered Brees a similar contract to the Saints, only the Saints offered him 8 M more guaranteed money. Brees' shoulder was ****ed up and even James Andrews said as much. It is also the reason that ONLY two other teams even courted him (Mia, NO). Miami signed CULPEPPER over Brees, which shows how much they thought of his ability to throw.

Signing Brees to the type of deal that New Orleans did would have just been retarded. They were a franchise with a new coach, in desperate need of a franchise player and they overpaid for him. It has worked out for them but that is complete hindsight. To say the Chargers should have signed him makes no sense and is actually pretty poor business. Why would you overpay for a car with a messed up transmission, not knowing if it will go out again and be completely done, when you have a brand new car in the garage waiting to be driven? Dont make no damn sense
