Set Me Up Scotty System Play wk13
The New York Giants have been easily one of my best teams this year, and I feel like I have had a pretty good read on them. Back when they were on a little win streak I made it clear that they were overrated, and none of their games have really caught me by surprise this season... last weeks beat down at the hands of the Saints included which was a fairly decent wager for me. Now this week they have another tall task at home against the Packers who are on a roll. The Packers are a team I pretty much never bet against, and a team I basically have used the Peyton Manning rule with for 2 years now. Just like I refuse to bet against Peyton... I really don't bet against Rodgers. Can't go against those guys, but there are always exceptions. A few weeks before thanksgiving I looked at the Packers schedule, and decided there were two teams that would threaten a perfect season from the Pack. Those two teams were the Detroit Lions, and the New York Giants. So come thanksgiving I was all about the Lions, but went the teaser route since I was big on the Ravens and like I said Rodgers scares the hell out of me...needless to say I was pretty pissed during that game with the horrid game from Stafford, but lucked out in the end as they drove for the meaningless score.
Now comes the second matchup I felt might give the Pack some trouble, and it couldn't line up any better as the Giants have dropped 3 straight after beating the overrated Patriots. Included in that losing streak is the beat down they just suffered in prime time against the Saints. This team just can't hang with a high powered passing attack, and yes.. of course that is just what the Packers are. We are getting 8 points though fellas. The Giants are going to be highly motivated for this one, and really need the win. Eli has been playing Phenomenal, really.. he has been one of the most underrated players of the season if you ask me. I can't bet this huge, but I do have to put something on this. There is a lot of basketball, and CFB before we get to Sunday's games.. it might be best to try, and tease for an extra cushion against the Rodgers just in case. I know that is the route I will try that first as normally out of over 100 games to choose from there is one near "lock" to add in a teaser.. 10-14 points for Giants is nice. So ideally I will tease this, and end up with a live ticket. Then put a bit on the ML.. or if I find that gem in CBB parlay the Giant ML with it... You get the picture... This Giant defensive line can get after Rodgers, and when he scrambles they have the speed to get after him. Their secondary isn't the greatest, but neither is Detroit's...and despite what that score suggests the Packer offense struggled a bit more with them than most might think. Osi will be out for this game it looks like so that hurts, but Boley should be back which is very good. Bradhshaw looks to be back in the backfield as well... I think you gotta take the points here... what say you ? New York Giants +8 ![]() gl

Thanks...
Nicks/Manningham have been banged up, but I am thinking they will play. Obviously not having one of them or both would be a huge challenge so that is something to watch. Cruz has really emerged so Eli having all 3 of these guys at his disposal for the first time in a while will be key. Bradshaw is also a HUGE upgrade in the backfield for the giants over Jacobs who really should just have a situational role. Eli can do this, and I would not be surprised at all if he is the talk of the sports world after this one. On the flip side I could see him hanging huis head down in the 'awww shucks'' way he always does. He has had a few very questionable throws/interceptions this year where you are really left asking yourszelf WTF. Outside of those few throws though I really feel like this has been EASILY Eli's best season this far, and his comments about being with Brady might actually ring true.... if your just comparing this season at least ;) ;) ... Again though.. a single unit type play (2max) as this is Rodgers we are talking about... Overall I really don't care for this card much at all, and we are really getting to that time of the year where for the most part I stand on the sidelines till the playoffs where I usually find myself hitting at a much greater percentage than the regular season anyways. NFL is tough stuff so you gotta watch yourself.. which brings me to the only other lean I have at the moment for this week. I am really leaning on the Vikings to take care of Denver. I haven't played either of these teams all that much this year, but I feel like I have a decent read. With the vikings I tailed a buddy taking the points over green bay, and I learned a lot from the game then was able to play GB minus the points pretty good in their rematch. With Denver I have tried to middle their last 2 games against the Jets, and the Chargers (with 2 tm teaser). I feel like both of those middles should have hit, but sometimes things don't work out. Denver was spotted 7-10pts from each of those teams... MINIMUM. That aside they were also catching both of those teams at the PERFECT time as well as their other 2 wins over Oakland and KC for that matter... Denver's defense is playing very well, but they are nowhere near as good as they are being credited for right now. They are still a very beatable defense, and I think the Vikings can have some sucess against them. On the flip side I think the best match-up might be the Vikings defense against against the Broncos offense. They have the speed of the edge's to contain Tebow a bit, and they will certainly learn from the huge mistakes by the inept SD team by getting a little pressure on Tebow when they do decide to throw. I am going to try to work on this game a bit more before the weekend if I have the time, but I do see the possibility of this line hitting 3 so I took a half unit just in case. I am not a fan of playing bad 'clubs', but I cannot ignore the fact that Denver is easily the most overrated team in the NFL right now. When you look past the headlines their win streak is a joke, and while their QB might be the most likable guy in the world he is NOT a starting QB in the NFL... he might not even be a second stringer. Again just a micro play incase the line does go to 3, because lets face it... the Vikings are not that great either. Minnesota Vikings -1

Denver lost 45-10 to the lions...
Then they beat: Oakland... who just had to deal with Palmer change.. other injuries, and we just not prepared to play ANYONE. KC... who was also banged up, and a true mess. Playing worse than any other team has this year, and this was a CLOSE game. Jets... A team they got in the PERFECT situation, and a team Denver's defense matched up with better than any other team in the league. A game where despite everything going in the favor they still should have lost if it were not for a Sanchez pick 6 on a ball that should have been never been thrown among a few other flukey things. Chargers.... A team that was banged up pretty bad (while Denver was the most healthy team in the league), and in all the wrong spots for their defense going up against Denver run attack... yet they still performed fairly well. Like the Jets game they were also handed 7 points before half they should have never had, and probably 9-10 other points in some way that SD reallly took away from themselves.... So again.. a game where they had a lot going for them, and should have lost. Lets face it.. if SD wasn't inept they should have lost this game. This was as big of a giveaway I have seen all year....right next to the team that fumbled the snap at the end of the game where they would have kicked a 10 yard gimmy FG to win against KC... o wait... that was SAN DIEGO as well... Jesus this team is a joke, and wow they cost me HUGE money both of these games. This team really is incredible... while everyone was yappin about the cboys and Wade this was the real joker team. Luckily for them everything should get blown up after this year. ^So yea... How good are those Broncos ? Not very good.

No not for these games... I had 2 games this year that might have qualified, but was held back from postin. I was thinking about posting up the Ravens on thanksgiving but I was out of town, and never got to it. Part of it was that I also just played the ML, and some assknuckle always wants to open his mouth when I did that ONCE before.... Like a ML on a game -2/3 really matters anyways... Miserable jackasses always gotta say something of course. Still have some time to find one for this year, but I screwed myself out of 2 already so I am not going to force it. Gotta be careful now.. good streak I wanna keep going... like that more than the money ;P

I think the Giants show up this week, their manhood has been questioned. I believe their front 4 at home will get to Rodgers and make him a little more uncomfortable then he has been use to in recent weeks. Maybe they won't win, but I think they can keep it within 7 points.
Good luck!

gl with your play cuse!
I have to start watching some college hoops, I've been too busy to check any teams out yet this year. I don't think my grizzlies will have another year like last year. |
