Angry Settle my argument....

Hey guys, been a while since I've bet football, especially since poker has been so good to me. I started to lose the time football needed for betting the ball games, therefore I started to blow my football roll. Not good.

However, this year has looked promising to make some scratch. I dont particularly pick more then 2 games per week and some times none at all. I rate my picks standard ie: 1*=1 Unit, 2*=2 Units....Anyway, Ill post like most do and hope we can all learn and earn. I'll post my picks for this week later this evening for those who care.

Onto my argument....

A co-worker and I are in a pick em pool (Straight Up) together and we have had disaggreement regarding a couple of games this week. I mentioned that 4 games I see as potential to move us closer to the top are-

Houston- Theyve played 3 games all on the road against tough D's and should have got the W last week. They play Indy well and are finally have Home field advantage. They've lost games they should'nt have!!!

Detroit- Uggghhh...I know. But geezus, thay have talent dont they??? Millen has finally got the boot Chicago is off a huge win vs Philly. Detroit at Home and the good ol' due factor.

Arizona- Buffalo kicked the snot out of S-Hawks, Jax on the road (slightly impressive), Oakland and the Rams who actually looked like they were a team for a couple quarters. Arizona I guess isnt much better with SF (slightly impressive), Miami , lost to Washington in the fourth with a pick and of course that mess with the Jets last week. However, I think Zona is not getting any respect and too much on Buff. Edwards looked horrible to me last week also.

San Fran- This one is more on gut. I wont waste your time trying make like S.F. is better then the record they have. However, I just think they match up well in this game and could grind a win. Scary part is....its NE off a buy week. On second thought.... lol

So, thats that. Just some simple points on each to help you understand my distorted view of these pooh platters. Im not interested in picking them all straight up. Im not that shitty of a handicapper nor do I want my throat cut from my co-worker. I do think choosing 2 from this group can be worth the risk and I'm leaning with Houston and Detroit. My co-worker hates em all lol

Your thoughts on which, if any you would choose. Details why would be appreciated but not necessary. Or if you think I'm a total douche....feel free to flame

Long first post guys. Thaks to all who got through it and those who dare to reply.

I agree with your co-worker, I would not bet on or pick any or all of those teams, they all are sub par teams. Why ask a bad team to win for you?

As an added note, I am from Detroit, and the Lions are the most unpredictable team in town, Most of my friends and I have a rule, Never bet On or against the lions.

Find some other games to pick, Just my 2 c , but you asked

At least 2 of those 4 are gonna hit the question is which ones?

I would imagine most your co-workers will be opposite of those plays

If you have a lead pick 1 and go opps the rest of these and then you won't lose any ground to the field except a game if you pick the wrong one

If you are trailing pick 2 or 3 of your strongest ones and roll the dice, hoping not to crap out and try to gain some ground

Whatever you choose welcome to the mall!!!

P.S. Start booking your co-workers plays

Detroits Finest- These selections are just some of the games Im interested in to gain some ground. The pool is a typical pick em straight up, choosing all listed games for each week. IMO, you have to pick the odd shit ball in order to stay ahead or gain ground. Thanks for the reply.

Yankee23- Thanks for the reply. I have taken action from the guys here. They are brutal lol. A couple of season bets I have against a few sad gamblers are Detroit's win record vs Green Bay's (I have the Pack for a 26er of Gibsons Finest 18year old, plus 200 cash), Detroit will make playoffs lol (OBV I bet against it for 100) and I have the Pack all year vs all opponents they play SU for 50 per game...hmmmmm. Worried about that one lol Just some small bragging bets to bust balls with later.
