Sf +3.5

Been waiting on this one since the regular season ended. The Saints are the best team in the NFL....at home. On the road they are average. 4 of their 5 road wins this year were against rookie QB's. They made Jake Locker look like an all-pro. SF can get pressure on Brees without blitzing. They run the ball well and usually win the time of possession battle. I haven't liked a game this much since Seattle vs. the Saints in the playoffs last year. If the Saints don't have homefield advantage, they can't do it. They've never won a road playoff game in franchise history and I don't think it will happen this week. The 3.5 points are a gift.

Yep agree with you I have the points and a little bit on the moneyline. Saints needed homefield because as you mentioned their offense isn't nearly as effective on the road as they are on the fast track of the Superdome. Only 3 times this year on the road did they crack the 30 point mark, one against GreenBay who has had issues on defense all year, one against Carolina whos secondary was being shredded by most teams this year, and finally against Minnesota whos secondary could be shredded by me, you and 9 others in here. Saints averaged 14 less points on the road this year than at home, and managed to lose on the road to TampaBay and StLouis and were life and death to get out with wins against Atlanta(I think we saw what Atlanta is really about yesterday when they actually had to play a real team), Tennessee and Carolina. And lets not forget no team who has lost to TampaBay has ever won the Super Bowl, LOL!!!!(just thought I would throw that in there, lol!!)

Nice line for a team whose only home loss came in OT, and getting the first round bye.

San Francisco kicks FG's. New Orleans scors TD's. Dump that money on the Gay Bayers. Let's hear your excuse after you lose.

I like the Saints, but am rooting for the 49ers, so I doubt I'll bet the game. The Saints won't be able to run on SF, forcing them to pass. The Saints do this very, very well.

The 49ers don't pass very well, and the Saints have horrible pass defense numbers, but that's a by-product of always being ahead, forcing their opponents to stop running the ball.

If you like the Saints, bet the over; if you like the 49ers, bet the under.

saints tend to start off slow in the first half. I expect the game to look under and be close first half (so check those 1st half lines).
This will benefit SF as they are a time of possession team liking to grind the clock down with their running game giving the defense much needed rest. Also, Alex Smith is not a come from behind QB (at least not in the sense I'm talking about). He does play his best at home though.

Saints on the road are an iffy team. They've been playing lights out at home so they are favored but remember when they did that and lost to the rams (nfc west)? 49'ers coming off a bye with time to gameplan the defense which is their strongest play.

I like the under so far but no idea on the side.

If the saints come out 2nd half with the adjustments they often make they can score a lot fast in the 3rd placing the game out of hand.

NewOrleans 24 tds on the road this year
SFran 22 tds at home this year

NewOrleans defense on the road this year average 24.5 pts/game against
SFrans defense at home this year average 10.1 pts/game against

But thank you for letting me know you like the Saints, I always feel just a bit better when you make statements like this, now I just got to hope that WP likes the Saints as well

This will be the hardest road game for the Saints since opening night at Lambeau, and they only ran away with two road games all year (at Jags and Vikings).

It should be a very good game, and best of luck!
