Slaton declares himself Healthy

In a radio appearance Sunday, Steve Slaton declared himself 100 percent recovered from offseason neck surgery.
Slaton's also dropped 15 pounds since the season, and is down to 200. The weight loss is a positive after he ran sluggishly for most of 2009 before the season-ending neck injury. Slaton's cervical fusion surgery remains a major concern, and he's not going to be rushed back into workouts anytime soon. His ceiling for 2010 is probably as the Texans' primary third-down back.
