So what's Tiki doing?

Is NBC doing the Super Bowl this year?

He's been pretty quiet lately.

lets see:

over 10,000 yards rushing and 5,000 yards receiving

67 TDs

4.7 ypc career avg

1 of 3 players in NFL history with four season of 2,000+ total yards

a degree from the University of Virginia

32 years old, retired, working at a major network, and most importantly in one piece without any major injuries throughout his career

almost all of you giants fans at one point in the past 3 years have criticized coughlin, eli, or both. probably even did so earlier this season as well! maybe you owe the giants recent success TO tiki barber!! maybe those comments helped rejuvenate the team! maybe if he didn't retire, you'd never know how studly jacobs or bradshaw really is! in retorspect, a lot of what tiki said at the time was true. coughlin was a hard ass coaching a team that was going nowhere. he was and likely still is a mean sonuvabitch general type and tiki wasn;t the only one who felt that way (strahan, shoackey, and others). most of you and others were pretty much calling for his head before this year! and secondly, eli was pretty much an average qb who looked lost and didnt look like much of a leader. well, guess what? now that its all turned around everyone forgets all that and wants to blame the guy who was the best player on the team and got out while he was still in one piece. should he have said the things he did? probably not. but BFD!!!!

you make good points - all of them. But, it's a rhetorical question basically. You know he feels like an ass or at least like me wasn't the stud he thougth he was (no one could fill his shoes). Maybe no one can, but two guys seemed to have done it.

I can assure you (being a Dallas fan), I have never called for anyone's head on the Giants team or coaching staff...

I know Eli was average, but you can't expect much more from a guy that young - very few if any are able to make a good impact as young or younger than Eli.

Simple assessment: Yes, He's living comfortably and healthy, but those aren't the only things in life that will make one happy. And no, those two don't hurt.

I knew it.They didnt need him after all.Im sure he felt sick watching that game when they won.Part of him has happy and part felt ill.It shows you need to keep your mouth shut and move along.Maybe if he left sooner the GMen would have been there sooner in the bowl!
