Oct 10 NFL [434] DALLAS -7-110 5%

love the fact that the Cowboys are an outstanding 16-5 in post-bye games, since the bye was implemented by the NFL in 1990. Under Phillips, the Cowboys have not only won all three games following their bye, but they even have at least a three-game winning streak after the break in all three of Phillips' seasons as head coach. it should also be mentioned that the Titans secondary allowed Kyle Orton and the Broncos to go 35 of 50 and throw for nearly 350 yards last week. Underdogs have gotten off to a strong start to the season but here's a case where I expect the favorite to 'get the cash'.

cowboys get it done today!!!

i"am espn insider here what they have to say about tonights matchup...

After breaking down film of both teams, Scouts Inc. offers 10 things to watch in this week's Eagles-49ers matchup.

1. The Eagles need to get the ball to DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin: In Week 4, those two combined for four catches and 34 yards. That won't cut it, especially considering how explosive they can be.

2. The Eagles need to tackle better: They couldn't contain their former mate Donovan McNabb last week on a number of scrambles. The 49ers are 0-4, yes, but they are a hard-nosed offense. A couple of guys there -- Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis, etc. -- will make you pay if you can't tackle properly.

3. Philadelphia must create turnovers: San Francisco has been picked off seven times, fumbled it three times and are minus-six in turnovers. If you can get after the ball and knock it out, you have a good chance to beat the Niners.

4. Control the line of scrimmage: The Eagles average 5.5 yards per carry. That's especially good news because Kevin Kolb hasn't looked sharp in the time he's played. LeSean McCoy and Mike Bell could get a bunch of carries.

5. Matchup to watch -- Philadelphia TE Brent Celek vs. San Francisco LB Patrick Willis: Willis is elite, but Celek is due for a breakout game. He has 12 catches through four contests; normally he has 12 through about any two-game stretch. Over the short middle, this battle is essential to the game.

6. Game planning for the Eagles: The 49ers catch a bit of break in their preparation, as Michael Vick's injury means that they only have to prepare for Kolb. Instead of two distinct plans, they can just pin their ears back and go right after the Eagles QB.

7. Look for a lot of games on the defensive front: Jason Peters, who protects Kolb's blind side, was called for two of the team's four holding calls on Sunday and you can be sure 49ers' defensive coordinator Greg Manusky has taken notice. Manusky likes to bring a lot of stunts and play games up front and is sure to be drooling at the prospect of trying to confuse and rattle Peters.

8. A heavy dose of Gore: The Eagles are giving up 140 yards per game on the ground (169 to the Skins). That's 27th in the NFL. Gore, Gore, Gore and then more Gore.

9. San Francisco needs to channel the Atlanta game: The Kansas City Chiefs had a really good ground game against the 49ers, but San Fran held Atlanta and Michael Turner to 98 total yards on the ground. They need to be stout in run defense.

10. Matchup to watch: Davis vs. Philadelphia MLB Stewart Bradley: Alex Smith has not been very successful throwing the ball downfield which makes Davis even more important with his ability to catch passes in the short zones and get yards after the catch. He will be working against Bradley for a good part of this game. Bradley hasn't had an amazing season, but he's faced Jermichael Finley, Marcedes Lewis and Chris Cooley so far, so he has been getting reps against the best.

Prediction
Philadelphia 20
San Francisco 24
