THE Sports PROFIT...Superbowl Edition
Good Day Ladies and Gentlemen:
A great night for us as we SWEEP the board going 4-0 for a very nice +8.51 units of PROFIT and more importantly we overcome our deficit and now sit at +3.7 units of PROFIT on the week!! Going to pass on tonight's card, but am sending out the Super Bowl investment as well as some recommended prop plays to pick and choose from for your own entertainment and all of which that I have invested in personally. Let's get to the big game play. Sunday, February 7th: take: New Orleans Saints/Indianapolis Colts OVER 56.5 -105...1 unit....game time is 6:20 p.m. e.s.t....This play keeps coming back to me over and over again (no pun intended) as there simply are too many attributes on the offences and not enough on the defensive side to thwart what I see, as many do, a high powered offensive game. Yes each team will game plan accordingly on defence, but because there is an arsenal of weapons on both teams on offence, these offences can adjust to what the defence is bringing and not miss a beat. Add in the fact that many of these offensive players are game breakers, ones who make catches when they are supposed to and can always be one move away from going for the long touchdown, thus quick scores are a constant threat all game in this game. Both quarterbacks have quality resumes and talents we have all heard about. there's no need for more numbers, ad nauseam. However, when talking about the defences and quality resumes, not so much. Yes both have had their moments this year whether it be New Orleans' ball hawking ability and numerous blitzing schemes causing team's havoc, or the Colts' run defence stopping the vaunted Jets' run attack when nobody thought they could. Yet, in the end, their performances at times still don't override the fact that both secondaries can be passed on and have been quite a bit this year. Will a sudden improvement come against these two passing attacks? Not likely. Will these QBs who don't get sacked often, all of a sudden find themselves on the ground numerous times on Sunday, highly doubtful. Add in the fact that both teams like to force turnovers and will be at it all game long in a very aggressive manner, and turnovers should play a part here in creating scoring chances ideally more often than not. Plus consider that both teams can move the ball at will on most possessions and should tire out these defences. New Orleans scored 76 pts in their first 2 playoff games, Indy scored 50, and faced two tougher defences than the Saints' possess. The Saints defence gave up over 400 yards to Brett Favre, Indy's defence gave up big plays to a mediocre Jets' attack. In the end, this game screams over, and yes sometimes the obvious is too good to be true. However, a lot of strange happenings have to occur in this game for this to go under in my assessment. And while it can happen, I'm not at all comfortable with an investment on the under with these two teams on the field and no takeback on the price. So OVER 56.5 it is for us. 1 unit. side note: For those of you inquiring as to my choice personally in having to pick a side I would lay the points of 4, no more, and take Indianapolis to cover. However, that said, I feel turnovers could play a really big part of this game and thus it makes the game harder to cap, but if turnovers do come into play, I feel the edge is to the Saints and taking the points. Therefore I am laying off a side, but have included a prop bet with an Indy choice and margin, in case turnovers don't factor in this game in a huge way. PROP BETS: 1st score of the game: Field Goal +187 Will either team score 3 unanswered times: No +146 Will there be a lead change in the 2nd half: Yes +183 Will Indianapolis convert a 4th down: Yes +135 Will New Orleans convert a 4th down: Yes +116 Will Drew Brees throw a TD pass in 1st Q: Yes +195 Will Peyton Manning throw a TD pass in 1st Q: Yes +160 Indianapolis to win by 7-10 pt margin: +320 Enjoy everyone!! cheers, PROFIT --------------------------------------------------------------------------
