Square Disscussion - Wild-Card Round
So i'm sitting here thinking, you know, i have actually watched very few games this year, i only see chicago games and then whatever is on the late games. Also, I haven't been out to a bar for games more than a couple times all season so i rarily see more than highlights from any other game.
As a total NFL square, I would assume any initial reaction i would have would likely would be wrong, so what are those thoughts so we could play against? Atlanta. OK, I know Matt Ryan. They also have a pretty good runner if i recall, and man they played pretty well all season, didn't they? Arizona. Honestly, i have no idea anything about this team, i think warner QBs there. So Atlanta is the play. Matt Ryan. Strong running. Don't know Arizona so i take Atlanta. Let's go to matchup #2. Indy. OK, I remember the Bears killing this team early on, manning not healthy. first 5 or six games go by, still suck. Suddenly in the last i don't know how many maybe 10 games, they have been on an unstoppable roll. Hmmm, this sounds just like the super bowl run. San Diego. LOL wtf? OK, as a Chicago guy I know Rivera took over (otherwise as a total square i wouldn't have a clue, and maybe still don't ). Hmm, that throws a small wrinkle into things. BUT, Indy is indy, indy wins this game. Maybe throw some on the over also because they both can score big time. Baltimore-Miami. OK as a square i'll say i think i know more about this matchup than i normally would...........but then again not really. As i sit here i realize i know NOTHING about Baltimore. OK i studied their win/losses the other day for the game and won based on that but still i don't think i could name more than 3 players on the squad. I know they win all their games though, man they're good. Miami. Wow. What a turnaround, Parcells must be the ultimate genius. I know this team plays totally solid defense and has managed to score enough to win a bunch of games to close this season. Still though, wtf? It's Miami. Baltimore running away. Philly-Minn. Yes. I hate Minny, no doubt. AP is great, their QB is pathetic and yet somehow they beat us twice this year, gotta give them credit for...not much i guess. Philly. Wow, I won a bunch against Dallas following folks here last week. I have no idea why they're are playing so good (because i can't see the games) but i sure know they became the defensive monster they used to be in past years and seem to score at will lately. Minny whatever, no QB blah blah. Philly takes this game. So, for a guy who watches all the college games on every week and almost no NFL, these are my square selections (not plays, just initial responses): Atlanta Indy, lean on over Baltimore Philly Making the likely winners Arizona, SD, Mia and Minny, Indy game goes under easy LOL any other squares have their opinions?
