When did Stafford become the resurrection of Joe Montana?

Up until this past weekend against what could be the worst defense in the NFL the most points the Lions scored at home this year was when Dante was at QB. The Lions only once before the Cleveland game managed to score 20 points in a game at home and again that was Dante against the Steelers.

At this point of Staffords career I don't think there is that much of a dropoff between him and Dante.

I should also say that no matter who is at QB for the Lions tomorrow I personally don't believe that will be the reason they cover or don't cover.

Teams will not change game plans much if Culpepper plays over Stafford. Game plans change in a huge way when Calvin Johnson plays......the whole offense becomes legit even if Calvin doesnt catch a single pass with all of the attention he requires.

ESPN's Adam Schefter writes on Twitter that his "hunch" is Calvin Johnson (questionable, knee) won't play on Thanksgiving.
It's our hunch too after Calvin missed practice every single day this week. Even if he plays, he'll have Daunte Culpepper throwing to him.

from rotoworld

no calvin + stafford

under 47 1/2 would be a good bet, hoping GB doesn't put 40+ on them

Difference being today this game is at home and in his start at home against the Steelers he played very well.

Stafford will probably be better than Culpepper in his career but the today and now it is not much of a dropoff between the two especially at home.
