Thumbs down Stafford's season may be over

Matthew Stafford, QB DET

News: Sources within the Lions organization tell MLive.com that QB Matthew Stafford may have suffered a Grade 3 separation of his right shoulder and thus might be out for the season. The results of Stafford's MRI on Monday are not known, but he is scheduled to get a second opinion with noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews this week. Earlier this year Stafford suffered a Grade 2 shoulder separation and missed five games, and a Grade 3 separation is obviously worse. "I've got to talk some more with these doctors and kind of figure out what they're thinking,'' Stafford said Monday on a Detroit radio station. "It's kind of frustrating to be coming back and, two games later, be knocked out again. We'll take it day by day and figure out what the plan is.'' It is unknown whether Shaun Hill or Drew Stanton would take over for the Lions while Stafford is sidelined; Hill himself has been healing from a broken left forearm.

Just when you think we are getting somewhere....

This sucks for Detroit, they are very close to being a decent team, but they need him in there getting as much experience as possible. 4th injury in two years after not having any through high school or college, maybe my Lions are cursed.

saw that game, he tried to side arm a laser to the back of the endzone and you could tell something went wrong, he left the game,

should be good one barring injury.....

He has looked pretty comfortable with the pro game so far when he has played, hopefully he can eventually string some games together and keep improving.

Lions have some good young pieces, they will probably draft somewhere around #5 next draft, so they should be address more of their weaknesses and keep getting better

I really love Detroit's offense, if they can get some DBs, I think this is a team to look out for in the next few years. They have a pro bowl WR, a pro-bowl caliber tight end & a potential very good RB in Best. Improve the secondary and they will be going places in a the near future.
