Stallworth to be Charged

According to ESPN, Cleveland Browns WR Donte Stallworth will be charged with DUI Manslaughter for the killing of a pedestrian in Miami. Stallworth's blood alcohol level was at .12, well ove the .08 limit. He is facing 15 years in prison. He will also be charged with DUI.

This is bad news for the Browns, who really do not need any more. Stallworth will certainly be suspended by the NFL, and his career is definately in serious trouble. Just another idiot move by another idiot NFL player. These guys will never learn, will they.

the punishment will be harsh but he does have a loophole because the guy was not crossing the street in designated areas

I don't know that where the victim was crossing will mitigate the sentence or not, but Stallowrth will be convicted and sentenced to hard time.

I know i have been behind the wheel drunk... Not proud of that fact and it was when i was younger.
I don't think anyone deserves this, it's a horrible mistake by a kid in his twenties he will pay for this for the rest of his life.
He's screwed now and has to live with the fact he took a life.
By all accounts Stallworth is a good guy from a respectable family.
I feel for the victim and his family as well.
Bad all around tragedy.

I have no sympathy for people who drink and drive, period. It's like people getting cancer from smoking - you're an idiot, you made a stupid decision, you deserve the consequences.

Yes, it was a dumb thing to do.
I'm not saying it's ok, all i'm saying is people do drive drunk and that this young guy will suffer.
You have never drank and drove at any time in your life... ever?
If not your in the minority i'd think.

It is a sad situation for all parties involved, but you do the crime, you do the time.

Didn't come from an upper to middle class family. Very bad news. I met and know this kid and his brothers. He has a brother in High School who plays at Grant High School. He is a senior and he is also being looked at by pac 10 schools. This is a sad day and I hope and pray they don't throw the book at this kid. Horrible for all involved but I know his family is suffering and taking this very hard. Sad day for Sacramento and Grant High School. The Stallworths help build that school with their talent. I can't tell you how little some of these kids have growing up. The Stallworth family is hurting right now. Rev, I will be glad to take you to where he grew up. You can tell them they all live in the ghetto. I would enjoy watching that show.

exactly..makes 0 sense why these people would want to do anything for themselves..was talking to someone today about things i would do if i was rich..would certainly have a live in driver..also a personal bather and asswiper..it is not like one will spend all of that money before they die..why not do something for yourself rather than buying shit so you can impress people..want to live the high life have servants and do absolutely nothing for yourself..what are these tools thinking

It is real simple. They do very little thinking. They act and react, just like the animals do. They have to be cool. They have to showboat the fact that they are ghetto kids who are now rich and can do whatever they want, or so they think.

This dumb a** killed someone while intoxicated. Remember this happened at 7:30 a.m, so one has to wonder how many hours passed since his last dring, and how drunk was he when he left wherever he was. Now he has been cooperative, and that might mitigate his sentence, but this guy deserves to serve at least 10 years.
