Wink For starters

New Orleans at Kansas City

The situation here is pretty simple. The Chefs are underrated and a home dog, while the general public is still having unsubstantiated wet dreams about the Saints. New Orleans hasn’t won a road game all season. They’re 0-4.

If you were paying attention last week you noticed that this Tyler Thigpen kid whom the Chiefs have at quarterback isn’t bad. He’s been especially good since offensive coordinator Chan Gailey recently installed a college-like spread offense. Thigpen threw for 266 yards and three scores in San Diego against the Chargers awful pass defense. His completion percentage has gone from 42.2 to 64.7 and his yards per game from 98 to 233.7 since the scheme adjustment.
Of course, the Saints pass defense is really much better than the Chargers. They’re 26th in the league against the pass…
The Saints will even be missing starting cornerback Mike McKenzie and starting defensive tackle Hollis Thomas this week, softening them even more.

Additionally, womanizing running back Larry Johnson will return to the K.C. backfield on Sunday. Despite apparently being a major d-bag, the guy can really run the rock. It’s tough to say just how the new offense will affect grand-ma-ma’s game, but the results are likely to be positive.
Prior to his absence the Chiefs would consistently see eight, nine, 10, 11, and even 22 man fronts. It was obvious that they’d run. The emergence of Thigpen is likely to bring some real balance to this offense. We could finally see some results from all the young potential we’ve been hearing about in K.C.

New Orleans has allowed eight TDs to backs this season, and six have come away from the Superdome. They’ve allowed 163.5 total yards per game and five rushing touchdowns since week seven.

New Orleans is 1-4 ATS in its last five on the road and clearly has problems against both the run and pass. Just think how smart we'll look when you win this bet.

Wiz's call:Kansas City

San Diego at Pittsburgh

Rivers' stats are overinflated this season. This game is in Pittsburgh and the Stillers aren't losing back-to-back there. Their O-Line better beat up on a banged up Charger D. The real key in Pittsburgh is the health of "Fast Willie" and whether or not Santonio Holmes can be at least mildly productive this weekend. The Steelers - as well as a few fantasy owners - need that desperately.

San Diego has been one of the years disappointing teams, the defense has been passive and unable to generate a consistent pass rush. Pittsburgh is doing very well with a difficult schedule, they need to improve pass protection.

*Weather-possible snow showers with temperatures possibly hitting the low 30s.(don't think the Chargers like the cold)

Wiz's call:Pittsburgh

Houston at Indianapolis

Houston has their difficulties and is a better team than the record would seem to indicate. Indianapolis seems to be getting back into form both offensively and defensively but need to keep winning to make the playoffs.

Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning. Guaranteed he produces big numbers. Look at his history against Houston: He has completed 72 percent of his passes for 31 touchdowns, five interceptions and a passer rating of 118.4. If I'm the Texans I start six defensive backs and go to church Sunday morning.
Beware the Indianapolis Colts. They're starting to heat up, and funny how it coincides with the return of safety Bob Sanders.

Wiz's call:Indianapolis Colts

Baltimore at New York Giants

The Ravens defense no longer seems to be the whole story there as the offense as been surprisingly effective. The Giants are coming off a big divisional win and could be in for a bit of a let down here, but I think not!!

Wiz's call:NY Giants

Two years ago they couldn't stop the run down the stretch without Sanders, with Jacksonville shredding them for 375 yards rushing in a December blowout. Then all of a sudden, Sanders returns and they turn into the '85 Bears -- not stopping until they win Super Bowl XLI.

Now look at them-(Bob Sanders) The past two games with Sanders in the lineup, opponents have averaged 99.5 yards rushing and 3.4 yards a carry; the previous seven contests those figures were 148.1 and 4.2. The Colts are 2-3 without Sanders (he played the first two games); they're 3-1 with him, and that is no coincidence. After all, he was last season's Defensive Player of the Year.

Wiz's call:Indianapolis Colts
Bob Sanders inactive today... according to your notes, they not gonna cover now?

(Football Trend ) The Denver Broncos are 0-12 ATS after gaining six or more yards a play in their previous game over the last two seasons.
The Denver defense has been almost non-existent; the offense can put up a lot of points and has to. The Falcons have over achieved all preseason expectations already and are in the hunt for the playoffs.

Wiz's call:Atlanta

( Football System) PLAY ON road favorites who are good rushing team averaging 125-150 YPG against an average rushing defense who allows 95-125 YPG after the halfway point of the season. Since 2006, this system is 12-1 ATS, 92.3 %; with the average margin of victory a whopping 12.1 points. Who would be this outstanding play today, none other than the Tennessee Titans.

Wiz's call:Tennessee
