Steelers fans

I know their are plenty of us here can someone explain to me why the Steelers past on a OL in the first round ? Was it due to both of thier picks being gone or what ? By the pick you can see they really miss Jerome Bettis. Would be interested in seeing what you all think. GO STEELERS

I think the steelers robbed the bank with their 1st round pick. I would be very happy.

steelers living up to their team name by getting mendenhall. plus there were 6 OT gone by the time they got to pick.

I really screwed this draft up for the Steelers. I had them drafting a OL then DB and they go all offense. Don't know anymore then I have read aboutthese two but I sit her stunned that they didn't choose any OL or DB.

dude they are far better off with these picks. both really are top 10 talents and they stole the shit outta them at each spot.

Steelers draft philosophy under the current leadershp crew has always been take the best available player at the time of the pick.

Think they did that today. Still need to address the OL but they got 2 guys who will contribute IMO.

They took a huge step towards addressing the problem by replacing Mahan at center with free agent center Justin Hartwig.. That was where all the trouble started last year on the line.. IMO this was a HUGE move by Pitt...

Agreed, but think more needs to be done to sure things up. Depth is still a ?

As in recent history, I would predict another free agent move is in the making.

True.. But Pitt is high on Kimo.. He has paid his dues and will step in to replace Faneca and Mahan would backup him and Hartwig.. Plus this years draft pick adds depth.. Though unproven.. A concern for sure.. But Hartwig was huge.. Love the Davis pick in the 3rd..

like others have said, but the time they drafted, all the OL worth drafting in the 1st round were gone....on top of that, the best all round back in the draft fell in their laps....

i love the draft as a whole, but we'll see how it pans out

I have to believe by MikeTomlins interview that they will be watching the waivers for a FA. I would imagine they are watching them now. Look for them to pull the trigger on someone they most likely already have communication with. I like what I read about the players drafted but some of the injuries do have me worried. They got a B+ so I will play the wait and see game.
