Steelers lose a foote

Larry Foote has been released by the Pittsburgh Steelers because they want him to be able to start for a NFL team. Larry was a class act and will be missed. They said he was let go to clear cap space but thats not a fact. Steelers granted Larry a release because he wanted to start and that wasn't going to happen with Timmons waiting in the wings. Class act and I wish Larry all the luck with his future team.

Homer. Look at your wording. You say he was released because "they" (meaning the Steelers) wanted him to be ableto start for another team. "They" could care less. He wanted to start, and that was not in the cards, so he asked for his release and got it. This "they" business is B.S. Try to be a bit more honest with your posts.

No shame in losing your job to Timmons.. IMO in the future he will pan out to be the best of their current linebackers.. Thats setting the bar high but he has looked liked a monster with limited playing time.. Runs like a deer..

Detroit is the frontrunner to get him. Even though he's from Detroit, WHY WOULD YOU EVER WANT TO GO BACK?

He can start there... Not alot of starting LB openings for his talent level.. Good player but on the backside of his playing days..

I am about sick of your BS and I will gladly go to the convention in Las Vegas just to kick your ass. Set up a boxing ring and I will gladly go there to run your fat old ass thru a ringer. Stay out of my threads I could really care less what you have to say. You have no life so you come on this site to find one. If you are ever in Northern Cali look me up. Go change your diaper and get on with your life. Again, if you are going to Vegas for the convention I will gladly meet you there.

Steelers released him because they had bodies to fill his position. When he asked the Steelers to release him they did just what he asked. I believe had he not asked for a trade he would have been Timmons back up. Timmons has shown that he gets tired and needs a relief now and then. I believe now Bell will step into Timmons role. Again, they let him go to make room for Harrison's money but I believe that this move would have never taken place if Foote was willing to be a back up. Going to miss the Foote physical player with a great locker room attitude.

Maybe we'll have the same article about Cutler after he can't keep his diabetes under control with all the late night drinking binges.

lol....gotta love this board.
Foote is a one dimensional LB-but a solid player who can tackle and shed blocks against run. At 28, he has 4-5 years left.

Easy choice for steelers. cap hit was too high with timmons there, and foote being a situational backer.

True... But you can count one one hand the number of teams he can start for... Good player but never was a stud even for Pitt in his prime..
