Taking +3 teams vs The Money Line

I have never understood why people will bet on a football team that is +3. Follow my logic here boys... If you think that team can win out right, then bet the money line and make more money. If you take the +3, what are thinking....because if your team loses by 3...you only push...you don't WIN! I Gamble to WIN not break even. And if you think it's a real possiblity that the other team (-3) will win....then bet that team's ML cause either they win by a field goal or more...not many games in the NFL beat each other by 1 or 2 points! So with ALL OF THAT being said...who do you thinks WINS THE FOOTBALL GAME tonight? Tennessee or Jax? I'm playing the ML either way and don't give a sh!t about plus or minus 3 points. Thank you.

dont take tenny ML tonight if u think that 2.5 isnt a big deal ... you would be giving up lots of juice ... i think u meant its either tenny -2.5 or jax ML

lets do simple math


ML will get you something like 30 extra bucks


If your team loses by 3 you lose 100 bucks, instead of a refund. $100 swing

If your team loses by 1 or 2, you lose 100 instead of gaining 100. $200 swing

3 is the most common margin of victory.

You're really gonna risk all that for an extra 30 bucks?
