Taking the Lions today

Well my favorite Holiday is here. Posting from my deer blind in southern Michigan, heading in shortly for a great dinner with all the family. Later tonight is the annual all night poker game with my buddies that I don't see very often anymore....doesn't get any better.

I don't post plays often, don't consider myself enough of an expert to do so. However, I really like the Detroit Lions today. Admitted homer here (one of the few), but this is not a homer play. Detroit is a lot better team than there record shows, and they have played some good teams real tough (especially at home). The season has been a big disappointment so far with all the close losses, so this is basically the biggest game left on the schedule and they should be up for it. I feel 7 points is going to be enough for the cover.

New England is terrible against the pass, which is Detroits strength even with Hill instead of Stafford. Megatron is a beast, and Burleson is coming on strong recently along with Pettigrew the tight end.

The D line is one of the best in the league, if they can get consistent pressure and force Brady into a mistake or two (I know, tough chore), then I think they will have a great chance to win outright and ruin the millions of teasers that bookies will take today involving New England down to even or -1.

Public all over the Pats, I will take my Lie-Downs in this spot.

Happy Thanksgiving and good luck with whatever you play today.

I like the Lions as well today and your write up was on point. Detroit has a solid squad and has lost alot of close games. 7-2 ATS and they have a pretty tough schedule. It's going to be odd next season not being able to count their wins on a few digits.

Lol, I hear ya man. About two years ago I built my Dad and I two fully enclosed 4x6 blinds. Rafters, clear open\shut plexiglass windows, stay warm as heck in here. My Dad is 60 now, and it gets cold up here. Best present I ever gave him!!

Hill practiced all week and is playing. Does still have the cast on his non throwing arm, but he looked pretty good last week in his first action back after the injury.

Brady has an injury to his foot and has not practiced. He is questionable for today. He'll probably end up playing but hopefully will be slowed down enough to let Detroits Dline put some pressure on him.

Gl today Ksturg

If the patriots can beat up on the colts, I don't think the lions stand a chance
