Is there any question that to win a SB you need to get the breaks?

If the Colts player doesnt boot that onside kick, they likely end up winning.

If Vikings dont shoot themselves in the foot with 20 secs left 2 weeks ago they might not even make Super Bowl.

Point: It takes skill and the breaks to win a championship

Yes. Good teams will have a shot but all sports are about breaks

breaks & bad bounces determine most games

but can't take anything from Saints. They were great all year & beat Warner, Favre & Manning to win it all

yea not saying saints didnt earn it, but just thinking about the few plays here and there that really impact a game and you need them to go in your favor if you are gonna win it all

Hank Baskett on the onsides kick.

Bad play by him, or bad break?

Saints Obv saw film of him leaving early for kick coverage and took advantage........

I say bad play, he left early and was in bad position for when the ball came, he was allready falling down when the ball came.........................

thats the key for me in the NFL , obviously good plays and all that , but momentum takes 60% of the game to do it

Incredible call by SP....He would be torched today had Baskett recovered that....Colts were lined up 15 yds. off the ball and turning hard to block....To be honest, it wasn't perfect execution.....They got a bit fortunate there.....I love the 'go for it' attitude of Payton though....

the colts always seem to be the team to me that gets those breaks, whether they just happen or if they make their own luck so it was odd to see them on the other side this time

imo, good teams and/or players DON"T get lucky. they continually put pressure on their opponents until they make mistakes that they take advantage of. i have always believed winners don't get breaks, they make their breaks.
