Thoughtfully Non-Rhythmic Thursday

Steelers have dominated rivalry recently, winning 12 straight over Browns, 18 of 19 and 19 of 22 since Cleveland's expansion rebirth. Steelers five of six losses have been by three points(4th Q lead in all), two in overtime. Browns are at bottom of NFL rankings in both total yards (242.2) and total defense (400.3). 9 out of 10 seasons the Browns have added at least two new starters from the previous season to it O line, never good. Brady Quinn will play for first time against Steelers. Quinn has thrown seven TD passes in last three games and has gone 126 consecutive passes without an interception. The ability of Brady Quinn to complete short, medium-range and deep passes has resulted in a decent offensive run but the weathers not going to be suited for the passing game with 25 mph winds off the Lake and below freezing temps. Whos the clowns targets? Brian Robiskie Mohamed Massaquoi and Evan Moore. Browns are not making H T adjustments while the other teams are, the Chargers gained 208 yards to the Browns 10 in the third Q last week. The Steelers CB's havent had a pick in 12 games but we may see more of rookies Joe Burnett and Keenan Lewis but its not like they can catch the ball either it seems. The defense will be tooned up for this matchup after poor showings. As inept as Bruce Arians and his play calling has been this year as long as Bruce Arians stays committed to the run the offensive line and running backs proved that they can have success. Heath Miller should have a huge game. S Abram Elam was wood-shedded by San Diego's Antonio Gates. The Browns continue to struggle with injuries. Defensive end C.J. Mosley will be out for the season after breaking his ankle in Sunday's G. Mosley's injury comes one week after the Browns lost nose tackle Shaun Rogers for the season. That's two-thirds of a defensive line. The same day that the Browns lost Rogers, they lost safety Brodney Pool for the season with a concussion. Previously they had lost both of their starting inside linebackers, Eric Barton and D'Qwell Jackson. As poor as the Steelers have played recently, don't forget that the Steelers have played and beaten San Diego, Minnesota, and Denver. There's only one remaining opponent with a winning record.

Pittsburgh Steelers -3
Pittsburgh Steelers Under 41
TEASE (22U)

Q: Will the lineup changes be finalized shortly?

A: Maybe Thursday 6:30. The hay’s not going to be in the barn this week. We’re going to keep baling it until the 11th hour and some change if possible. Mike Tomlin Presser

HOMER!!

GOOD LUCK

Steelers 10, Browns 6

Playing with a separated shoulder in 60 mph gusts, Roethlisberger threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Hines Ward beating the Browns 10-6.
"I'm from Ohio, I've played in windy conditions before," he said. "That might be at times the gustiest I've ever played in."

Thanks huscroft6, BOL

Pittsburgh Steelers Under 17 1st H (5U)

Shout out to Hines Ward for making the SI All-Decade Team: NFL

The latest National Weather Service forecast calls for it to be 18 degrees with a 54 percent chance of snow at 8 p.m., just before kickoff.

By 11 p.m., the temperature is predicted to drop to 17 degrees, with a wind chill of 3 degrees below zero.

It has never been that cold for a Browns-Steelers game in Cleveland, National Weather Service records show.

Thanks guys need it, BOL.

There is no better time for a quarterback to do his holiday shopping than in the store known as the Steelers' secondary, where big-play gifts abound and shoppers can move freely through the passing lanes and zone coverages. Can Bradey and the boys do it is the question.

Sweetleaf best of luck tonight. Based on the above quote what are you predicting for a total. I love the Steelers in a teaser just wondering on the over/under. Thanks for some insight and again Cash it tonight.

I don't think either quarterback has much of a statistical game tonight....it will be a running show. Steelers in a squeaker. Steelers also MISS the playoffs.

Well I have the Steelers Teased with the UNDER and the 1st H UNDER, so thats what I like. I Thinks something like 20-10. The quote was saying that the steeler pass D is right for the pickings BUT not for Brady Quinn with those WRs in these weather conditions, mainly the wind. Steelers played the browns in similar windy conditions last year and the score was 10-6, but that was in Sept, with out cold and snow. I really cant see either team with a normal game plan here due to the weather, if it were normal conditions and IF the browns were smart they would test the Steelers pourous secondary. Gay in banged up off concuss and of coures all the problems stem from troy and a smith being out. Anyways BOL fed and go Pens
