Thoughts on the SD game

First off, it was a great game to watch. The most exciting of the playoffs so far. No one gave the Chargers a chance yet we battled the whole game.

Rivers - Played a great game. remember that indy is the top DEF against the pass and rivers carved them up. that pass to chambers was perfect. people in here dont give rivers credit but the guy is shaping up to be a top 5 QB for years to come. i'm not joking. i also like how he gets fired up..shows some passion for the game. i will admit that getting into it with the indy fans is a little childish but i do like the emotion.

Sproles - dude, how valuable is this guy. lightening quick speed. that TD was HUGE. he's clearly the fastest guy on the field

Refs - some REALLY BAD calls against SD. notably the holding call on the INT return and a couple of pass interference calls. it was pretty obv that the NFL wanted a NE/Ind matchup (ratings)

SD Def - they really didn't get to manning at all until the end of the game. manning had plenty of time to throw. this worries me a little as this will be the key to beating the pats. they need to pressure brady. they did shut down the run tho, lol. (actually i think indy just gave up on the run). they still forced a couple of turnovers.

WR - V. Jackson is really stepping it up. at 6'5" 240..it's almost impossible to defend. gl samuel and hobbs.

Next week vs Pats - not saying we will win but we have a shot. again people are underestimating the bolts. opened at 15pts lol. i guess it depends on how healthy gates, LT, and rivers are. the pats DEF is beatable. i'll take 14-15 pts anyday.

The defense played pretty well I thought...EXCEPT florence, he got owned for almost all of the big plays. You're never going to shut down manning, but the chargers didnt blitz as much as I thought, i think that was because the colts were picking it up early and getting some big plays down the field so Cottrell went a little more conservative, still blitzing but playing more zone and dime packages. NE defense is imo MUCH worse than the colts one this offense carved up yesterday, and the bolts are a better offense than the Jags. 15 points is hilarious

Will the Ted Cottrell avatar make a return if San Diego loses this week?

Always loved that one
