Arrow Thumbs up and Thumbs down to these players

Thumbs Up

Phillip Rivers - this guy showed an incredible amount of heart and played through injuries, most wouldn't have tried to play. Mr Rivers is only going to get better

Michael Turner - Move over LT, I think Turner showed he is more than capable.

Lawrence Maroney - The Pats would not have won without him. Guy is very underrated

Junior Seau - How many big plays did this guy make yesterday? I always thought he was overrated but the guy can play

Eli Manning - Sure is looking like the real deal. The way he threw the ball in that weather was very impressive. Peyton who?

Plaxico Burress - Best WR in the game right now? He sure is playing like it!

Thumbs Down

Ladanian Tomlinson - We have talked about this guy like he was best ever? I am not even sure he is the best RB in San Diego. Oh and grow some balls LT!

Brett Favre - I love Favre but this was his game and he got another chance in OT and blew it. Manning looked like the vet, Favre looked like the rookie.

Big Thumbs Down to Al Harris

Wow, how awful was he yesterday and to McCarthy, You might want to try some double coverage on Plaxico or at least change it up a little

Not as happy as Shark23 is, but happy for Eli. Played much better than Favre and glad he put alot of people, including me, in their place.

I gotta disagree with both of you on these two guys. LT would not have made a difference. Turner and Sproles are more than capable fill-ins. Actually, they are pretty damn good.

Gates... I don't know if any of you have had a dislocated toe or turf toe, but your big toe is a big part of you even standing upright, let alone running and cutting.

And as for LT - same thing. I remember when I sprained my knee for the first time - the feeling I got - it's not like a sprained ankle or other injured preipheral appendage. The knee is a scary thing to injure and try to make confident athletic moves.

Just my experience and opinion.

Agree, Gerk. I also think people dont' quite want to give Plex the credit he deserves b/c he is perceived as soft (includig me in the beginning of the season). The dude just makes plays. Bad move for McCarthy to ignore the guy that was burning his D all game.

Brett - I think the cold shows his age. He's not the young(er) guy he used to be. And, it was COLD!!! Old bones feel really old in the cold - or so my dad tells me... ... I'm getting there, but not quite yet.

I'm also happy to see Eli do well. I'm so tired of people baggin on him - saying he's a puss. All you have to do is ask his teammates. People forget how long it took his brother to succeed. And - it's typical New York media - no patience and the love/hate thing

I agree 100%, Watch out for San Dog and Rivers next year, LT is real over rated. I am still trying to figure out who let Eli Manning out of his cage. He played one heck of a game.

Did anyone else notice how wide open Grant was coming out of the backfield on the interception? And had alot of open field too. Just think in that situation you have to throw the sure pass only, at least until you get over midfield. Like Favre but takes to many chances in these kind of situations for me.

Thumbs Up

Vincent Jackson -starting to play like a #1
SD Secondary - shut down NE WR's
Rivers - played well and with heart
Faulk - was money and made some money catches!
Maroney - Ran hard and smart!
Eli - played great football.
Burress - when he tries he is so good, and yesterday he put on a show!
Driver - he was the lone bright spot for GB.
NE DE's - got pressure most of the day!

Thumbs Down

SD Linebackers - Where were they?
Favre - played stoopid football!!
Al Harris - getting owned and talking shit!
Chargers Oline - Played average when you need to play great to beat NE.
Norv - Horrible 2 minute offense in 1st half and get balls and go for it on 4th down at the 36 yard line!!
MaCarthy - Did you forget you have a running game??

def gotta give kevin faulk some nod on the game..he's one of the main reason Pats could close the game out without any threat at the end.

rivers is a baller...dont understand the hating on LT...the guy got a direct shot on his injured knee on the first play. He lost the explosiveness, and didnt feel like he could cut...the coaches didnt let him go back in and they ran turner who would be more effective
